10 long-term trends in the interior that you should implement in your apartment Design 01.03.2022 We tell you how to design an interior that will delight after years and even decades. Perhaps the most important question that we ask when arranging an apartment is how to make the situation look fashionable, but at the same time functional and non-eating, despite the changing trends in interiors. It is best to answer it using a real example, for which we chose the Prime Park residential quarter on Leningradsky Prospekt. It seems that the developer managed to create almost perfect apartments in it. 1 Finished finish from the developer Big cities are so rapidly being built up with new housing, and the pace of life continues to accelerate so rapidly that the demand for apartments in new buildings with ready-made finishes will only grow. And it is justified: firstly, conscientious developers implement the most advanced solutions in their real estate, the existence of which buyers often did not even know before. Secondly, such a universal approach simplifies further operation: the management company will be aware of all the nuances and technical solutions in your apartment, so any issue can be resolved faster. Thirdly, the design is in harmony with the overall style and concept of the house, which is at least pleasant from the point of view of aesthetics. The interiors in the Prime Park residential quarter were designed by the British bureau Dyer and the Italian studio Raboni Architetti and were fully supervised by the chief architect of the project, Philip Ball, whose works were twice awarded by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. 2 Combined kitchen-living room This is a convenient planning solution that can now be found in most apartments in new buildings. A modern kitchen is a space for family evenings, meetings with friends, romantic dinners, so it is logical to combine the cooking area, dining room and living room into one spacious and multifunctional room. 3 Separate dressing room Another solution that was considered a luxury not so long ago, but now it has become more common: people on average buy more clothes and are more willing to experiment with images than ten or twenty years ago, and all these things require space and well-organized storage. This trend was also influenced by the fact that taking care of appearance is no longer considered only a “female” prerogative, comfortable dressing rooms are also equipped in “male”, “bachelor” interiors. 4 Parquet board Parquet flooring is the optimal finish for the floor in situations where you need to combine beauty and practicality (that is, in almost all). It looks like natural parquet, while it is more durable and easy to care for, this is especially important if you have animals or small children: restoring piece parquet from scratches is a long, expensive and time-consuming process. At the same time, making a choice in favor of a parquet board does not mean sacrificing quality. For example, in the apartments of a residential quarter Prime Park uses a first-class parquet board, the top layer of which is made of natural oak and varnished to protect against damage. 5 Painted matte walls Yes, bright wallpaper and other unusual types of wall decoration may look interesting and fresh, but most likely they will quickly become boring. Therefore, if the goal is to decorate the interior for many years, it is still better to stop at matte paint of neutral shades. And you can add brightness and individuality with the help of decor, which is easy to replace if you get bored. And if you have a classic-style interior, moldings will look good on a plain wall, by the way, that’s how they decided to decorate the walls in some apartments in Prime Park. 6 Multiple colors that match each other This technique also looks impressive: choose a matte paint for wall decoration, but combine two or three different shades: for example, paint one wall in graphite or coffee, and the adjacent one in warm beige. 7 Porcelain stoneware for marble The most trendy and functional decoration for bathrooms and kitchen aprons, which at the same time looks so noble and unobtrusive that it will look great in ten to twenty years. Choose calm shades of warm white, light gray, then they will definitely not get bored. But if you want to create, for example, a special atmosphere in the bathroom, bet on black porcelain stoneware with imitation marble, they can decorate one or two walls, and leave the rest in neutral tones. 8 Floor heating It is important to take care of the technical nuances. Living in the Russian climate, you will definitely thank yourself more than once for the decision to make a warm floor in the bathroom thanks to it, there will never be excessive dampness in the bathroom, and the morning will start with pleasant sensations. 9 Doors with hidden hinge system Such a system allows you to open the doors 180 degrees, which gives more space when arranging an apartment: you do not need to decide in advance which way the doors should open, and think over the entire layout based on this. In the Prime Park residential quarter, a silent magnetic lock system has also been added to this technology, which makes their use especially comfortable. 10 Unity of elements In Prime Park, you can choose four options for finished finishes: in modern and classic styles in light and dark colors. Whichever one you choose, the interior will definitely turn out to be perfect, because all the little things have been thought out here: for example, the inner surface of the entrance door has the same finish as the interior ones, and the baseboards are made of high-quality impact-resistant duropolymer, which is suitable for both styles.
