1 Find new owners online

There are probably those in your area who want to green their apartment and are ready to accept well-groomed and healthy plants as a gift. Take high-quality photos on a minimalistic light background in daylight and post them in a chat at home, a neighborhood group, on ad sites, a flower forum in your city. Most likely, new owners will be found in just a couple of days.

2 Sell

Rare, as well as simply spectacular and large plants can be sold. Analyze the average price for similar varieties in flower shops and display your collection on ad sites. If you sell flowers together with planters, be sure to indicate whether the pots are a gift or you need to pay for them separately.

3 Take it to the flower shop

Some flower shops, especially non-chain ones, will respond positively to the request to attach indoor flowers to them. It is important that they are healthy and well-groomed. Perhaps they will be sold or left as a decoration for the store. In any case, the plants will be provided with good care.

4 To give to public institutions

Go to the cafes, beauty salons and similar establishments closest to your house and show the manager photos of plants. Surely they will want to accept them as a gift to decorate the interior. You can also look into the nearest school or library.

5 Give to friends

This method will be especially relevant for those who move far away and because of this cannot take the plant with them. So you will be sure that your green pet will definitely be cared for with love and care, and friends will receive a memorable gift.

6 Use plantsharing

In many cities there are organizations that help plants find new owners free of charge. This is called plantsharing. Usually people who are well versed in flower care work there, they have greenhouses and the technical ability to create suitable conditions. The main condition for participation in plantsharing is that the plant must be alive, not necessarily even beautiful. Perhaps it will be left and used for reproduction, and maybe attached to new owners, if it is possible to restore a neat appearance.

7 Give it to a plant shelter

Many commercial organizations in different cities are opening informal shelters for plants. It can be a restaurant or a loft for coworking, a beauty salon. To find them, just type in the search box “shelter for plants” and the name of your city. 

8 Give it to overexposure

Sometimes it happens that you need to leave for a long time, but not forever: for example, on a business trip for several months or to study for an exchange in another country. It will not work to leave the plants unattended, and it is not always desirable to give someone the keys to the apartment for such a long time. In this case, the flowers can be attributed to overexposure. There are special hotels for indoor plants, where they create suitable conditions and provide high-quality care. And on your return, you can take the flowers home.
