Style: Yana Yakhina OBJECT PARAMETERS Property type: apartment in a new building Where is located: Moscow, Dmitrovskoe highway Square footage: 111 m2 Style: modern classics The main idea of the project: to create a light, timeless interior with an atmosphere of freedom Color scheme: sky colors – blue, blue, purple The authors of the project: designer Elena Markina, [email protected] , @markina_design, T. +7 (985) 255-13-50 The owners of this apartment are a young family with a four-year-old son. “It is noteworthy that they turned to me at the height of the pandemic, when the whole of Moscow was sitting on self-isolation,” says designer Elena Markina. – Therefore, we conducted all meetings, discussions and approvals online. The customers independently made measurements according to my plans and recommendations, after which work began on the layout and style. And having already finished working on the project, after the restrictions were lifted, we went to the facility for the first time, carried out our measurements, made adjustments to the project and started its implementation with offline support.” Plaster stucco is made to order. Style: Yana Yakhina The customers asked to make a space from a small three-room apartment with a combined living-dining room and kitchen in the style of modern classics, and also to provide an isolated bedroom, a nursery and a separate office. It was necessary to create a convenient, functional and versatile layout with a sufficient number of storage spaces, if possible, with a dressing room and a pantry. Chest of drawers, Rooma Design. Style: Yana Yakhina Initially, the room had no internal partitions, with the exception of load-bearing pylons and risers. Its main advantage was a large number of windows facing three sides, a high floor and beautiful views from the window. Among the disadvantages — a small distance from the entrance to the kitchen riser, which limited the width of the hallway, also a small area allocated by the developer for bathrooms, and low ceilings – only 2.7 m. Style: Yana Yakhina “The most important part of the project is always the planning solution,” says Elena. — We have divided the apartment into public and private zones. The loggia was insulated and attached to the living room area, which turned out to be bright and filled with air thanks to two large windows with a beautiful view of the city and clouds.” The designer added bright accents of sky shades to each room — blue, blue, purple tones in different doses are found everywhere in this apartment, combining different zones together. All design solutions work to expand the space and increase the height of the ceiling – verticals in the edges of curtains, relief panels, moldings, decorative false transoms to the cornice above the doors, furniture up to the ceiling, built under the cornice. Style: Yana Yakhina In the living room, Elena wanted to create a space where it would be nice to spend time with the whole family — the main place here is occupied by a spacious and comfortable corner sofa. A large marble-topped table designed for family dinners is illuminated by five hanging lamps. “Here you can create different lighting scenarios – turn on all light sources or limit yourself to sconces and suspensions, creating a more intimate atmosphere,” the designer comments. Style: Yana Yakhina The kitchen is separated from the main space by sliding partitions. The furniture is located on all four walls — the owners like to cook, so there should have been a lot of work surfaces. A breakfast area with a view of the city was placed near the window. One of the walls is occupied by tall cabinets, and some of them are characterized by increased depth, which made it possible to create a whole utility block. In order for the kitchen not to look too massive, it was decorated in two colors: white and blue. The equipment has everything you need — a dishwasher, a wine cabinet and even a TV built in instead of the facade. Furniture, Arva. Semi-wooden chairs, Rooma Design. Technique, Liebherr. Style: Yana Yakhina In the bedroom, we managed to make a dressing room with a window and a dressing table. There is nothing superfluous in the room itself, everything contributes to rest and relaxation. The bed with a purple headboard has a lifting mechanism: an additional storage area is organized under the mattress. And opposite the bed there is a shelving made according to the drawings of the author of the project – for books, decor and family photos. Bed, Lavsit. Bedside tables, Unica Moblar. Style: Yana Yakhina The children’s room is a room with the most thoughtful functionality: there are many places for storing books, toys, clothes, allocated sleeping areas, games, classes, sports activities. The couch bed serves as a sofa during the day, where you can play, and at night it turns into a full-fledged sleeping place with an orthopedic mattress. Drawers for toys are made at the bottom. Style: Yana Yakhina A separate room in the apartment is occupied by a study. The walls in it are painted sky blue: so the designer supported the overall color scheme of the apartment. There is a large work desk, a comfortable sofa and ample storage space for books. Cabinets with sycamore veneer inserts and a workplace are made to order according to individual drawings of the author of the project. Sofa, Lavsit. Chest of drawers, sconces, Rooma Design. Style: Yana Yakhina The doors to the bathrooms and the pantry were made hidden so as not to attract attention to them. A spacious shower room is decorated in the master bathroom (the customers decided to refuse the bath). To the right of the mirror in the niche there is a convenient locker for small things. Its facades and the facades of the curbstone were decorated with “bird’s eye” veneer. In the guest bathroom, every centimeter is used above the toilet – in addition to access to counters and communications, several functional shelves fit in the locker. Porcelain stoneware, Rex. Still, in my opinion, it is art that makes the interior unique and alive, and I am glad that customers realize this.” Poof, Rooma Design.
