Valeria Dankovskaya designed an apartment for a family with two children in the north-west of Moscow, overlooking a green park area. “The household is madly in love with this place,” says the designer, “and their main wish was to find parallels in the interior with the amazing nature of the Silver Forest and the architecture of the building.”

“I took the layout from the developer as a basis, the location of the rooms completely satisfied the customers. The only thing is that we slightly changed the hallway to create a comfortable dressing room at the entrance, and the children’s bathroom was reduced in favor of the laundry room.”

The kitchen-living room is made in natural shades and seems to be a continuation of the landscape outside the windows. “Customers like to get together on weekends and have lunch at a large table,” Valeria continues. — I really wanted to emphasize this area — that’s how the idea of a mural on the wall was born. Soft lines, smooth transitions — all this harmoniously combines with an impressive view of the river. And the Vibia lamp with green plants nearby is being brought back to the natural theme again.”

Giulia Novars kitchen was designed according to our sketches. “Probably, it was the most difficult node of the apartment — functional, since the family loves to cook, and harmoniously fits into the interior,” the designer adds.

The bedroom is made in ochre-terracotta shades, the maximum of comfort and warmth is concentrated in it. The soft texture of the wood is harmoniously complemented by suede, and the streamlined pattern in the paintings sets the right rhythm. Graphite and concrete accents help to dilute the tonality: bedside tables, sockets, a frame near the mirror and partitions between the room and the dressing room.”

One of the brightest rooms, which is always admired by guests, is a children’s bathroom. “It wouldn’t have become so interesting if the cement tile that was used at first hadn’t started to fall off in the very first days. We quickly found a replacement that exceeded all expectations — so bright Ornamenta tiles with light green veins and a chaotic pattern appeared in the interior. A complex gray-blue shade helped to balance it. And the black color accents brought the whole composition together in detail.”
