The customer of the project purchased an apartment in a new residential complex for herself. It was necessary to correctly reveal the potential of such a space, to show what a small room is capable of. The customer is a film dramatist. Therefore, it was necessary to make a large library and a full-fledged desktop in the apartment. And another of the mandatory requirements was the presence of a bed, not a sliding sofa, especially since there was no room for it.

Recreation area. The wall and cabinet furniture are painted in the same color according to the NCS system. Cabinet furniture is made to order, furniture studio Gorgan Group. Skirting board, Orac Decor. Wall lamp, Feiss. Armchair and tables, L’appartement. On the wall is a handmade handkerchief, the property of the customer.

The height of the ceilings made it possible to place a metal structure that simultaneously serves as the basis for the bar counter and forms a mezzanine above the kitchen and dressing room, on which there is a sleeping place. In the design of the staircase, shelves are provided to accommodate the collection of vintage jewelry of the hostess. All the things were placed in a large dressing room, so when determining the depth of the shelf, it was enough to limit the width of the books. The mirror on the opposite wall visually expands the space. The window has enough space for a desktop, and a bench-sill with pillows replaces a sofa.

The bathroom area is only 3 square meters, but there was enough space for everything necessary and even for a laundry room, and graphic tiles and contrasting wall painting visually enlarge the room. The same effect is given by the use of glass blocks for finishing the kitchen apron — it seems that the work surface is installed right in front of the window. The dark, saturated color of the walls is another preference of the hostess. In a small room, it creates a cocoon effect and at the same time does not hide the volume of the room. Intentionally careless gradient painting of the corridor, which the designer made herself, immediately sets a creative mood from the threshold. And large pieces of furniture create the necessary balance so that a small apartment does not look like a dollhouse.
