The owner of the apartment bought it for the future — her daughter is growing up, and very soon, perhaps, she will want to live on her own, without her mother. It is worth preparing for such a moment in advance so that he does not take her by surprise, which she did. The customer wanted to see a small apartment on Vasilievsky Island very cozy, in pink and beige tones and necessarily with a fireplace. The damp St. Petersburg autumn live fire is very uplifting.

The layout of the studio apartment did not involve dressing rooms, only closets, but the hostess did not want to put up with this. Therefore, the plan was slightly changed to place a dressing room in the bedroom. To do this, the area of the room had to be reduced and the doorway leading to the kitchen was moved to another wall. In place of the former door to the kitchen, a niche was formed in the corridor for a galoshnit, so everything turned out as well as possible.

To “push apart” the walls of a small apartment, Irina Khalezova used a number of decorative techniques. A diagonal layout made of small-sized granite (30×30 cm) was made on the floor — it visually increases the area.

In order to maintain a good height for new buildings with three-meter ceilings, high doors were installed for painting in a metal profile with a hidden box. Along the perimeter of the rooms where the porcelain stoneware is laid, a baseboard built into the wall was made of the same material so that it supports the overall style and does not deviate from the wall.

In one room, it was possible to place both the kitchen area, the dining area, and the living room area. The closing pencil case of the kitchen was made glass on both sides in order to visually reduce the length of the kitchen furniture and create airiness between the kitchen furniture and the structure with a built-in bio-fireplace in the living room area. In the frame-sheathing structure itself, a niche was made above the fireplace for the TV so that it did not protrude forward.

Above the sliding dining table in the dining area, they decided not to install a hanging lamp, but made uniform ceiling lighting so that it would be possible to change the location of the table if many guests come.

In the kitchen area, a narrow hob was installed, the burners of which are located not along the perimeter, but in a row. This is done in order to use the space at the ventilation shaft, but at the same time not to push the furniture much away from the wall. Over the hob hung hoods-lamps on carbon filters.

The restrained color scheme of the kitchen was diluted with a chic kitchen apron in pattern and shape. Since the window frames from the developer were made in black to support the graphics of the window openings, the black color stretched in thin threads along the frames of the mirrors, in the frame of the doors, in the ceiling magnetic tires.

Since part of the bedroom area went under the dressing room, the bedroom turned out to be small, and Irina had to work with prints and mirrors to distract attention from the size of the room. Behind the headboard of the bed, the wall is glued with accent wallpaper — they distract the eye. A mirror in a frame with built-in illumination is installed in the dressing table area from floor to ceiling. The mirror is made of two parts for convenient attachment of the table to the wall. Curtains in the bedroom are electronically controlled.
