Bedroom and living room in a one-bedroom apartment: 6 alterations proposed by designers Design 12.07.2022 How to fit two full-fledged zones in an initially one-room apartment? We show by the example of design projects with plans before and after. 1 Bedroom behind a glass partition In this project, designer Olga Koposova (a 33 sq. m. one-bedroom apartment) was allocated a bedroom, a living room and even a mini-dressing room. The room is divided by a glass partition, behind which the bedroom area is located. From the bedroom there are slatted double doors to a small dressing room. An example of an excellent study of functionality in a small area! After Before 2 bedrooms in a secluded niche and a combined kitchen-living room The original layout of this apartment is 44 sq. m. there was a standard separate room, a fairly large hall with a “nook”, a separate kitchen and bathroom. Ekaterina Malmygina made a functional redevelopment, which made it possible to fit more zones. The main change affected the kitchen and living room, a partition was removed between them to organize a common studio space. Due to the addition of a part of the hallway, it was possible to allocate a small bedroom (only 5.36 sq. m.). And next to it, a work area is also organized, also in a comfortable niche. There are curtains to isolate the bedroom. At the same time, fresh air can safely penetrate there, because there were no blind partitions. After Before 3 Bedroom behind a glass wall In the project of designer Oksana Agaponova , a one – room apartment with an area of 44.85 sq . m . here we see another example of the organization of a compact bedroom and a full-fledged living room area, which is combined with a kitchen. The principle is the same, the partition between the kitchen and the living room was removed, new ones were built to separate the bedroom from the living room and corridor. At the same time, the first one is glass. For better privacy, a light light curtain has been added. In the layout, a separate dressing room from the hallway has been preserved, a significant plus within the framework of a one-room apartment. After Before 4 Bedroom-living room separated by a wide doorway The apartment designed by designer Elena Mukhacheva has only 41.7 sq. m of area. Here we managed to implement the functionality of a full-fledged two-piece! The original layout had its pros and cons. Unambiguous plus two bathrooms. Minus an elongated room with a beveled corner and a rather large hall of irregular shape. Elena adjusted the layout, which made it possible to organize both the living room and the bedroom. A part of the hall was attached to the room to align the shape. A bedroom was allocated closer to the window, and next to it a living room. They are separated by a partition with a wide doorway with a glass transom. So there is enough natural light in the living room, far from the window. The second small bathroom was taken under the dressing room. After Before 5 Small private bedroom 4.7 sq. m. m and a spacious kitchen-living room This apartment with an area of 41.1 sq. m was purchased for her adult son by a famous blogger girl. Designer Marina Esina created a comfortable space for a young guy, turning a one-bedroom apartment into almost a two-room apartment. There are no walls on the “do” layout, but the developer assumed that the apartment would have a separate room, kitchen and bathroom. Marina offered different layout options, they chose the one that allowed them to realize their wishes and was consistent with housing legislation. So, the kitchen and bathroom remained in their places. There is no partition between the kitchen and the living room. This is a bright studio space. But the bedroom is completely isolated and fenced off from the living room by a blind partition, and from the corridor by glass sliding doors. This is how natural light gets into it. There is a mini-dressing room in the corridor. 6 mini-bedrooms and a combined kitchen with a living room In this project for a young couple, designer Marina Zenova turned a one-bedroom into almost a two-bedroom, and also allocated a dressing room. The principle of redevelopment is already familiar to remove the partition between the kitchen and living room, allocate a mini-bedroom, closing it with glass doors (curtains were added for privacy). On the remaining area, allocate a dressing room. The dressing room allows you to free up a small space from bulky cabinets. After Before Original content from the site
