Photo ROMAN SPIRIDONOV Style Evgenia Shimkevich Evgenia met her customers four years ago: the designer was invited to consult on the design of their city apartment. “The family bought a new house in the forest zone exclusively for holidays, holidays and children’s vacations. Their apartments are decorated in a restrained color scheme and without unnecessary decor, but this time they wanted the complete opposite of asceticism,” adds the author of the project. In the central part there is a kitchen-dining room combined with a living room. In the left wing there is a bedroom, a children’s room, two guest rooms and a main bathroom. In the right wing there is a sauna area with a relaxation room, a shower and a sauna. Due to the design features of the roof, the ceilings in the house are very high – up to 5 meters. “In order to avoid large heat losses, in the bedroom part of the house we lowered all the ceilings to 3 meters, sheathed with drywall,” explains the designer. I decided to focus on the forest theme and chose a drawing of graceful herons against a background of trees. It was he who eventually formed the color scheme of the whole room,” says Evgenia. There is a beautiful forest landscape outside the window, so it was enough to hang thick curtains to protect from the bright sun. Photo ROMAN SPIRIDONOV Style EVGENIA SHIMKEVICH In the process of work, the designer had to not only take into account all the wishes of customers, but also adjust to the upcoming changes. “The hostess was expecting a third child, but the sex of the baby was unknown at that time. We have temporarily frozen repairs in two rooms — the nursery and the guest room — in order to understand what color they will need to be painted. When it became clear that a third boy was about to be born, the guests remained guests. The hostess trusted me, but she still took an active part in the project, despite her position,” says Evgenia. Photo ROMAN SPIRIDONOV Style EVGENIA SHIMKEVICH The resulting guest rooms are similar in style to each other, but each has its own character. One is made in warm shades, the other in cold, the furniture is the same, but in different colors. “Guests will be able to choose which of the bedrooms they are most comfortable in,” the designer explains. It’s great to see in the photos not just a stylized interior, but an interior in which people really live. Such a result is an incredible pride for me,” adds Evgenia. Recreation room.
