The designer realized a comfortable interior of an apartment in Chelyabinsk, using pastel colors and bright accents.

Customers and tasks

The owners of this two-room apartment in Chelyabinsk are an adult married couple. Both are already retired. They turned to designer Nadia Kiselnikova with a request to design an interior with a comfortable bedroom, thoughtful storage systems, a place for guests to sleep and the opportunity to watch TV in the kitchen. It was also important to fit both a shower and a bathtub in the bathroom.

Redevelopment

Initially, it was a standard one-bedroom apartment with a fairly large area of 66 square meters. The owners have two balconies at their disposal, from the bedroom and from the living room. The apartment is intended for two people, and the designer proposed to form a common area with maximum comfort. It was decided to remove the blank wall between the kitchen and the living room, replacing it with a sliding partition with frosted glass (so the TV is accessible from the kitchen, as the owners wanted). In addition, the living room was isolated from the hallway, making the entrance to the common area only in the kitchen.

The bedroom remained isolated, on the other side of the apartment. Thus, the spouses formed a common area where they can spend time and receive guests, as well as a private block.
