Photo Alessandro Moggi This villa is literally imbued with the special atmosphere of the Eternal City. You need to find the right way through a maze of hedges and an orange grove to reach a complex of several buildings surrounded by a wonderful garden. The new owner obeyed the genius of the place, but nevertheless decided not to give up modern comfort and brought a lot of personal things to the historical walls. Already at the entrance, guests are greeted with souvenirs brought by them from their travels, paintings and photographs in elegant frames, indoor plants — despite some pomp, given the location in the very center of Rome, it is cozy and even intimate here. Photo Alessandro Moggi Photo Alessandro Moggi In the spirit of Italian traditions, the villa has several living rooms at once. The light-flooded living room on the first floor is decorated with stone and precious woods, and the one on the second floor is brighter and more extravagant, with lots of details and sculptural furniture like Getsuen and Rose chairs, reminiscent of scarlet flowers, designed by Masanori Umeda for Edra. The kitchen is equipped with innovative appliances, work surfaces and cooking areas are hidden so as not to distract from the view of the blooming garden. Around the solid wood table are Gilda B. Edra chairs by Jacopo Foggini, placed around a large table, literally glow from the inside, emphasizing the ceremonial character of the zone. Of particular note is the indoor swimming pool with panoramic windows, which offer an impressive view of the archaeological sites of Rome, the excavation sites of the Forum, reminiscent of the centuries-old history of the city. The contrast is an oval window, chaise lounges and chairs made of intentionally curved polycarbonate crossbars, designed by Jacopo Foggini, which add a futuristic accent to the space. Swimming pool.
