Customers and tasks

The owners of this spacious apartment in Moscow are an adult couple with a teenage child. My wife is a teacher, enjoys yoga, Nordic walking, loves to cook. The spouse has his own business, he is fond of hunting and fishing. My son is studying at school. In general, the family lives on two “houses”, they often go to Sakhalin. Guests are also welcome. 

They needed three bedrooms, one for each spouse and for their son, they needed to arrange a living room where their guests could stay for quite a long time. In the men’s bedroom, sound insulation and a work desk were needed. And the women’s room has its own bathroom and a place to read by the window. It was important to arrange a lot of places for storing not only everyday things, but also equipment for sports, fishing and hunting. And also for the guests’ belongings. With this, the family turned to designer Anna Maltseva. 

Redevelopment

According to the original plan, the apartment had four rooms, three bathrooms, a separate kitchen, two balconies. There was no need for a global redevelopment. The rooms were distributed as follows. The one closest to the entrance with its own bathroom and balcony was made the hostess’s bedroom. They allocated a dressing room there. Next to her is a nursery. Next comes the master bedroom, which also became his office. According to the original plan, the kitchen and living room were adjacent, connected by a doorway. This opening was laid to make the living room more private when guests stay there, it will be more convenient for them.
