Life in the forest: 40 m2 modular house near Naro-Fominsk Design 29.11.2022 Modular houses are a popular topic in recent years. One of these projects went to the architect Maria Marshchuk. She came up with the simplest and most functional interior with everything necessary for a girl who wanted to live closer to nature Photo Mikhail the Brave GENERAL PARAMETERSProperty type: modular house designed to accommodate four people Where is located: Naro-Fominsky district, SNT “Creator”, Tikhaya street Square footage: 40 m2 Style: modern with a New Zealand character The main idea of the project: an interior organically integrated into the landscape. The main idea is to live as close to nature as possible, to see how snow falls, falling asleep all around, how twilight descends to the ground, how the tops of pine trees sway in the wind, and in summer wake up to the singing of birds and the noise of foliage. Photo Mikhail the Brave The main role in the interior is given to a panoramic view of the forest The kitchen-dining room is zoned with the help of color: the wooden walls here are painted in the color of the sea wave. But this does not mean that he will have to completely abandon the benefits to which we are all accustomed. The area of the house is only 40 square meters, but it accommodates a kitchen-living room with panoramic views of the forest, fireplace and underfloor heating; a separate bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom. Photo Mikhail the Brave When designing the interior, architect Maria Marshchuk proceeded from the fact that a panoramic view is the main thing here, so the kitchen—living room is an observation deck. You can see the forest from almost every point. The best vantage point is definitely on the couch. Photo Mikhail the Brave The main finishing material here is wood, and hemp acts as bedside and coffee tables. The most noticeable piece of furniture is a chest of drawers, which the hostess got from her grandmother. It was restored in a friendly workshop “Beautiful as before” and placed in the bedroom. Vintage carpets are also part of the legacy of the customer. The house landed in a bright pine forest near Naro-Fominsk and is now rented out, so anyone can repeat the experiment of the American Henry Thoreau, author of the book “Walden, or Life in the Woods.” Thoreau spent two years in a forest hut, which he built with his own hands, and believed that it was useful for everyone to live a simple life. At least in order to understand what you can easily do without in this life. Photo Mikhail the Brave Photo Mikhail the Brave Photo Mikhail the Brave Original content from the site
