1 Blue kitchen in an apartment in an old house

Area: 8.6 sq. m

Redevelopment in this apartment, including the kitchen, is carried out within the framework of the law, taking into account all norms and rules. Since there is a gas heater and a gas stove in the kitchen, the room must be isolated from adjacent living rooms. Enfilade swing doors serve as the boundary between the rooms. An MDF box with a removable facade for a gas column and extractor hood is mounted above the stove. Since the customers, a young married couple, like bright and calm interiors at the same time, the decor corresponds to the general design concept with a neutral-colored living-dining room and corridor, surrounded by bright rooms of the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.

The blue color is saturated and at the same time unobtrusive. It successfully acts as both an accent and a neutral background. Almost all its shades are associated with tranquility, stability, which undoubtedly contributes to the creation of a peaceful home atmosphere.

When designing a bright space, do not forget about balance. The blue color of the walls and facades of furniture is diluted by the light shades of the countertop and kitchen apron. The functions of the latter are performed by only one row of tiles laid vertically with an accent brass profile around the perimeter. The window area is highlighted by a white frame, the wall under the window sill is also painted white. The kitchen space is visible in the opening of high enfilade doors from the living-dining room, bedroom, corridor, and the bright blue color refreshes and seems to fill the apartment with air. There are enough storage spaces in the kitchen and without upper cabinets there is a pull-out pencil case to the right of the column with an oven and a headset in the lower level. The air, saturated with odors and vapors, leaves through the vent channel, and the combustion products of the gas column through a separate chimney.Gorenje

2 Kitchen in a niche

Area: 5.8 sq. m

The original location of the kitchen has not been changed, but the layout has become completely different. Kitchen furniture and necessary household equipment were placed in a niche, which is located between the bathroom and one of the two bedrooms belonging to the owners of the apartment brother and sister.

This solution made it possible to equip three full-fledged rooms on a small area, preserve the functional cooking area, but visually separate it from the living-dining room and hallway. The kitchen is located in the back of the apartment, but natural light penetrates through the glass partitions of the living rooms. The glossy kitchen apron even reflects panoramic views of Moscow, the main decoration of the interior.

The niche kitchen needs well-organized ventilation, the channel of which according to the joint venture and GOST standards should be conducted from the mine of the project kitchen.

The working area is designed as part of the color block of the apartment. A composition of blue and light beige colors has been chosen for this space. Furniture with laconic facades without handles is responsible for it; having fully preserved the proper functionality, the doors look more stylish and modern. Supports a color block and a kitchen apron made of glossy, forming a graphic grid of small-format tiles. The inspiration was the work of constructivist architects, especially Ivan Leonidov with his love of functionalism and simple geometric forms. The ceiling ventilation system is integrated with the lighting system into a single metal structure behind the glass. This solution, visually connected with the interior glass partitions, allowed to preserve the height of the room and most of the concrete surface of the ceiling. The concrete was plastered, primed and varnished. Fabric panels, which are more familiar behind the headboard of the bed, here serve as the wall decoration of the kitchen niche.

3 Kitchen in an apartment for a mature married couple

Area: 7 sq. m

The author of this project took into account the wishes of the owners regarding the functional organization and aesthetics of the space. The living room and kitchen were combined to form a space for receiving guests.

We chose a two-door refrigerator, which has zones with different temperatures, an impressive sink. The headset was assembled according to a convenient L-shaped scheme. The classic style can be traced in the facades of kitchen furniture, in the layout on the glass doors, in the architectural decor, while the table and chairs are designed in a modern way. The dark engineering board on the living room floor creates an interesting contrast with the beige porcelain tiles in the work area and light furniture. A recipe for harmony of the kitchen space in a combination of soft turquoise and pearl shades, different textures and shapes. Refined and concise, the atmosphere is functional and comfortable.

A married couple likes to spend time in the country, and their big family often visits them in the city. Therefore, the kitchen-living room was turned into the compositional and semantic center of the apartment. There is a lot of natural light here. The high ceilings are decorated with relief cornices and ceiling rosettes. In the evening, three elegant pendants illuminate the dining group. There is a separate illumination in the work area of the countertop. The combination of light turquoise kabanchik tiles in the decoration of the apron and beige-pink facades of kitchen furniture creates an atmosphere of lightness and at the same time gives depth to the space. The color is present, but does not press. I like to use it delicately so that the overall color palette turns out to be soft and relevant beyond time.

4 Kitchen-dining room with an airy interior

Area: 13 sq. m

The small space of the combined kitchen-dining room turned out to be light and filled with air thanks to the large windows and the interior without unnecessary details. The role of the accent is played by the blue color.

The linear planning solution of the kitchen-dining room is determined by the structure of a one-room apartment. The area is connected to the bedroom by a wide opening with two sliding doors. There is enough space in the passage room so as not to interfere with free movement. Adds air and an abundance of white in the decoration of walls, floors, kitchen facades. The furniture decorated with wood veneer and the dining group look brighter and more interesting against its background. There is no non-functional decor in the kitchen, but there are many technological household “assistants”. The induction hob is characterized by a high heating rate, it is impossible to get burned on the oven door made of tempered glass. The smart dishwasher recognizes the detergent used and dissolves it gradually during the washing process, thereby optimizing the washing process.

The owners of the studio apartment wanted to get a bright, cozy, comfortable space for living, relaxing and meeting friends. Good initial data in the form of a conditionally free layout and large windows, from which a picturesque view of the city and the park opens, served as the basis for the design. The bet was made on laconic forms, rhythm and geometry, as well as the natural texture of wood and the texture of stone. The bright blue color in the furniture upholstery and decoration helped to highlight functional areas, including the dining room. The owners liked the combination of cold blue with invigorating white. This color is present in glossy furniture facades and in large-format porcelain tiles on the floor and on the kitchen apron. The decor, which reliably imitates the texture and fascinating pattern of Italian marble, is elegant and modern.
