The customers, an Italian and his Russian wife, are people with excellent taste, immediately found a common language with the designers. Most of all, the customers did not want to clutter up the space, but on the contrary, they wanted to make it airy and moderately contrasting. “It was a pleasure to work with a customer who understands famous furniture and appreciates its design,” says the author of the project, designer Konstantin Kryukov.

“The most important thing in this project is the conciseness of its forms and shades, which is created when you do not strive to highlight one thing, but create the harmony of the entire space.  Konstantin continues, “For me, this project is a balance of minimalism, attention to detail and sexuality.”

The owner of the apartment has a lot of books, so there was a need for storage space for his library. Therefore, in the living room, two long shelves were arranged under the ceiling along the load-bearing beams, which are painted in the same gray color as the ceiling (thanks to this solution, they practically merge with the general background).

And in the dining room, the designer decided to abandon the bulky chandelier and made the main light source a floor lamp hanging over the dining table. However, it is not needed during the day: the table is by the window, and there is quite enough daylight.

The wall and the built-in refrigerator in the kitchen are painted the same color. Due to this, in contrast to the main kitchen, the effect of a single volume is obtained. The countertop continues on the windowsill. And the kitchen is separated from the dining area by a compact bar counter — an ideal place for breakfast or work on a laptop.

In the bedroom, the light tone of the walls made it possible to make contrasting graphite accents, which gave the interior of the room the necessary dynamism. The black leather substitute bed is effectively complemented by Kartelle mesh lamps. One of the most cozy corners for relaxing in the apartment with an armchair and a floor lamp for reading is built next to the bed.

And at the very entrance to the apartment, in a minimalistic setting of a stone jungle, a giraffe floor lamp suddenly settled, which has its own piece of real jungle – a palm-dracaena.

In the bathroom there is a glazed shower cabin on a pedestal. The stylish and at the same time laconic space is distinguished by its special functionality: here, on a small area, there is even a mini-laundry room.

“The repair time was extremely tight, there were only two months for everything about everything,” the designer recalls. — And just a couple of weeks before the end, when work was still in full swing at the facility, the hostess entered the apartment and, stepping over mountains of garbage and dust, looked critically around the whole mess. Of course, she did not believe that I would have time to deliver the project on time, and was worried that the dinner party with her husband’s Italian mother would be disrupted. The object was delivered exactly on time, on December 31 at 19:00. But unfortunately, due to epidemiological restrictions, the Italian party still had to be postponed until better times.”
