When arranging small kitchens, designers use different techniques. Let’s look at real examples!

1 Kitchen 5.5 sq. m

In her apartment, designer Elena Ivanova made a small redevelopment, as a result of which the entrance to the small kitchen turned out to be from the living room. This is a frequent design technique that designers use. It allows you to arrange the furniture with great comfort. So, for example, here is a corner kitchen set. And the column with a built-in refrigerator is located just where there used to be a passage to the kitchen. If the door had remained in that direction, it would have been impossible to fit the column. 

2 Kitchen 6.2 sq. m

In this Stalinist apartment, which was remodeled by Natalia Shirokorad, initially a small and elongated kitchen. After the redevelopment, it became more convenient and functional, largely due to the additional space organized on the area of the neighboring room by a kind of pantry, where the refrigerator was also taken out.

Another interesting feature is the window between the kitchen and… the bedroom that adjoins it. After the redevelopment, the bedroom was left without natural light, and this window compensates for its absence. 

3 Kitchen 4 sq. m

Tatiana Petrova’s project “apartment” in the conditionally basement of a private house. This is a guest house, and on the lower floor the owner wanted to arrange a comfortable space for himself. There was a special wish to make a billiard area. A small room was zoned so as to fit everything you need, and a little space was allocated for the kitchen, only 4 squares. In addition, it turned out to be elongated. Nevertheless, everything has been thought out so that you can cook and store everything you need. There is a full-size refrigerator built into the column, a dishwasher, and a microwave oven with an oven function. 

The window under the ceiling, by the way, also illuminates the bedroom, which, as in the previous project, was left without natural light due to the layout features.
