Squeeze out the maximum: 4 examples of redevelopment of a small apartment Design 21.03.2022 Even from a small apartment, you can make a multifunctional comfortable space. And our examples prove it. 1 Apartment in an eco-style This design project was created for an apartment in a typical MG-601 house, a two-bedroom apartment with an area of 39 sq. m. It was originally designed for a family living in a big city, which is why the natural theme is so actively supported in the interior (natural materials, neutral palette). Before After Since the apartment was originally designed for a small family, a compact separate bathroom was combined and expanded to the area of a small corridor. There we managed to place a spacious laundry area, a shower room and a toilet proper. In addition, the entrance area is connected to the living room, which provides better lighting of the corridor and, in general, makes the space visually larger due to the absence of unnecessary partitions. The entrance to the kitchen was moved and made from the living room, which improved the ergonomics of the space. The bedroom solution is also interesting. The room was reduced and a dressing room was made. This solution is typical for modern layouts in new buildings, in old typical houses it is quite difficult to find a place for a wardrobe. Here everything succeeded. 2 Atmospheric apartment in the spirit of the Soviet intelligentsia Initially, this apartment was a one-bedroom apartment, although quite spacious, almost 43 square meters before the redevelopment. And in the process of alteration, it was possible to allocate additional zones, turning the apartment into a two-room apartment. Before After This was made possible by the addition of the hall area to the room. So it was possible to give the elongated space a more correct shape. After that, it was divided into two rooms, one of which was the bedroom. It is located next to the window, and in the other part there is a seating area with a sofa, it is also a living room. The apartment had two bathrooms, it was decided to abandon the second one in favor of a dressing room. Thanks to this, there was no need for cabinets in the rooms, and despite the separation, there was visually more space. Where to look for announcements of materials and fresh ideas for the interior? This time, the original area was even smaller, only 33 squares. There was a kitchen, a living room, a compact bathroom and a storage room. Before After Since the family for which the interior was created consists of two people, a mother and a son, they decided to redevelop in order to allocate their own space for each. To do this, the room was expanded at the expense of a storage room, after which it was divided and two entrances were made. They decided to place a nursery near the window, and in the mother’s bedroom they made ventilation and thought out good lighting. This compensates for the lack of a window. Additional lighting is provided by a glass partition with a door. The interior turned out to be very calm, peaceful, reminiscent of either Scandinavian style, or eco, or Provence. The only exception was the bathroom, it is brighter, the principles of the color block were used in the decoration there. 4 Kitchen, living room, bedroom and dressing room on 40 squares A one-room apartment with a classic layout with an elongated room, a separate bathroom and a compact kitchen was the first home for a young couple. In order to allocate more functional areas and make the interior comfortable for living, the designer decided to redevelop. Before After To begin with, the partition between the kitchen and the room was removed, after which new zones were allocated. Part of the kitchen set is located on the area of the corridor. Thanks to this solution, it was possible to fit everything you need and not occupy the kitchen space with cabinets. Next to the kitchen there is a living area with a large modular sofa. The bedroom is allocated behind a glass partition. The remaining area was divided into a dining area with access from the kitchen and a walk-through dressing room, which can be accessed from the bedroom and hallway. This solution makes everyday household scenarios more convenient. A separate bathroom was combined to get a more spacious room. Original content from the site
