He turned to Olga Klimenok with a request to design a bright interior, in which there will be a lot of air. The first sketches were absolutely monotonous, with a play of different textures and materials. But then the designer began to carefully add color and in the final version an expressive color scheme with bright accents turned out. Coffee table and carpet, table, La Redoute. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen An important step was to get rid of the dark corridors in the center of the apartment in order to add air and light to the interior, as the customer wanted. The kitchen and living room are combined into a common space. Thanks to this solution, it was possible to make an additional room in the apartment – a study. After the redevelopment, the bedroom has a spacious dressing room instead of a wardrobe, and the wardrobe in the hallway has doubled. “The secret of a potentially good layout is the number of windows,” says Olga, “There were enough of them in this apartment, which gave us the opportunity to competently design the space.” Sofa, “Manufacture of comfort”. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen To make the space look more dynamic and integral, Olga used the technique of “color blocks”, when one color unites several objects. So the space is not divided into small parts and looks orderly. The color of the terracotta wall in the living room behind the TV area organically turns into curtains. The ceiling is painted the same color as the walls. Chairs, Deep House. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen Despite the small size of the living room, the room turned out to be not boring, it provides many different use cases: in the kitchen area you can sit at the counter by the window with a panoramic view, the TV area is clearly visible from the dining table, and you can relax and read a book on the sofa or in an armchair. Each zone has its own mood: the deep terracotta color creates a mood of warmth and comfort, the kitchen, made in a more strict style, gives the look a rest, and the blue sofa gives relaxation after a busy working day. In this multitasking, it was important not to overload the room with details and keep the balance. For this reason, the authors of the project installed flush-mounted doors that do not distract attention. Decor, H&M Home. I am calm about the fact that the first request may not coincide with the final version, because it can be very difficult to formulate your wishes at the very beginning of the journey. But it is so pleasant to watch the transformation and disclosure of the inner world of a person through the prism of his home.” Apartment in Moscow.
