And, of course, we couldn’t leave aside this news now that affordable and popular furniture can’t be bought temporarily, what should we do? We turned to the designers with this question and shared our thoughts. In some cases, these brands are repeated, which, however, only confirms their popularity. 

Anna Shimanova: “Recently there has been a trend for vintage IKEA items from already released collections”

Anna named a list of brands whose furniture she used in her projects and recommended looking for things on Avito. Let’s list what the designer recommends, with Anna’s comments.

Unikamoblar. Russian designer furniture is of very good quality. Tables can be safely ordered via the Internet, I recommend to get acquainted with chairs and armchairs live in the showroom.

Archpole. A Russian company founded by talented architects. A diverse assortment, many items for both home and offices and the organization of public spaces.

Vintage! It will always be relevant, it will give the house a story, especially if we are talking about repairs from scratch. The search for a trophy is a gambling and time-consuming process, but it’s worth it, you can find very interesting chairs, chairs, tables, often in very good condition, not requiring restoration. Recently, there has been a trend for vintage IKEA items from already released collections.

Anna Maltseva: “We have a lot of domestic production, especially in central Russia”

Anna Maltseva talks about which productions you can pay attention to and names brands.      “The main rule now is not to give in to panic and not to take rash actions. I think that the market is adapting to the new realities and if you still have income and the opportunity to continue implementing your plans, then you should move systematically, in the course of emerging requests. At least, no one has canceled China yet. Proven positions are available from there, but not so budget-friendly as to compare with the mass market. 

If not IKEA, then let’s pay attention to such brands as Fine Objects, The Idea, Woodi Furniture, Archpole, Omnia Home. Nice prices for tables in Lagom home, Premioza. There is a stock marketplace of inexpensive furniture by the Stool Group. Take a closer look at the Sheffilton store, this is a production in Kaluga, there are many IKEA analogues in small positions.”

If the price was important in IKEA, and not the design of a particular model, then you can choose a replacement. As for upholstered and finished furniture— I am calm for our market. We have a lot of domestic production, especially in central Russia. At least open the LiveMaster website. There are a lot of craftsmen and joinery there.

Victoria Vishnevskaya: “I advise you to pay attention to Russian furniture manufacturers”

Victoria names specific stores and advises carpentry.
