“Functionality in a beautiful box” is how architect Sergey Larichev defines the concept of his project — a residential attic in the center of Moscow

The lamp above the dining table is made according to the sketches of the author of the project and has become the most inexpensive part of the interior.

“The most important part of the work was the layout,” the architect continues. — It is difficult to do anything on the attic floor with sloping ceilings. At the same time, we needed to provide full functionality: to provide an isolated bedroom with bathrooms and dressing rooms, to make the most comfortable kitchen on the minimum area.”

“The customers — a young family with two twin children — prefer modern style in interior design, and in their apartment they most wanted to see a lemon tree finish. “It was used for the production of wall panels in the living room,” says Sergey. — This is really interesting material. Like many citrus fruits, lemon tree wood is very plastic and is well amenable to processing, and in terms of wear resistance it surpasses many valuable breeds.”

The walls of the living room are lined with lemon wood panels.

“In order to balance the complex geometry of the space, wall panels made of natural veneer of different types of wood are used in the design of all rooms, as well as hidden doors with mirror cladding, or with a finish in the color of the walls.”

“The interior of the nursery awakens imagination! Light clouds hover outside the window and on the wall. The sleeping place is designed in the form of a “cheese house” and even the TV screen has become a decoration of the room. It is inscribed in a suprematist composition of bright hanging shelves.”
