1 Buy a low-quality carpet

2 Lay low-quality laminate in wet areas

In an effort to save on finishing, floor tiles in wet areas are sometimes replaced with cheap laminate. This happens especially often if the apartment has an open layout and the floor has a single surface. Of course, in some rooms this solution is acceptable. But where there is direct contact with water, it is better to spend money and make a more wear-resistant floor. No class of laminate, except for a completely artificial water-repellent coating, will withstand high humidity. The most vulnerable part of the coating seams will deform, which affects not only the quality of the floor, but also its appearance. The best option for the kitchen and bathroom is tile, granite or quartz vinyl.

3 Do not use paint probes

In hardware stores, you can often find stands with small tubes of interior paint. This is a very important help in choosing a color for walls or ceiling. Having spent several hundred rubles on samples, you will be able to accurately determine the shade that looks advantageous in your apartment and is combined with the rest of the palette. The colors are needed, because due to the difference in lighting, the tone of the finish that you like in the store may look completely different in the interior. In order not to repaint the walls again and not spend twice as much money, first test the color on the probes.
