In this house built in the middle of the last century, there was once a boarding house where people came to rest for the weekend. A couple of years ago, it was acquired by a family with three children who decided to redo everything and invited the SHED Architecture studio for this. As a result, the house is not recognizable! It has turned into a spacious multifunctional space with a modern interior and a thoughtful layout, which provides a personal space for each member of this large family.

The first thing the architects did was a global redevelopment. The kitchen on the second floor was placed in the center of the entire space, and on both sides there was a living-dining area with a modern fireplace and a pantry with thoughtful storage systems. In addition, a large bedroom and an additional small living room appeared on the second floor. On the ground floor, the architects placed a playroom, another bedroom and additional utility rooms.

In the design of the house, mainly natural materials are used: bleached oak panels for walls and cabinets, cork flooring, wooden cabinet furniture … Frames and metal structures zoning the room on the ground floor are painted black and give the space of the house rigor and graphic. the remaining zones are made lighter.

An accent yellow color is used in the nursery and in one of the bathrooms. The other bathroom has terrazzo. The authors of the project not only renovated the house, but also landscaped the area where the family now spends their free time together.
