A small apartment of 32.4 m2 with the atmosphere of the south of France Design 20.04.2022 Architect-designer Anna Rims designed the interior of a small apartment in Scandinavian style with Mediterranean elements. It not only charges with cheerfulness, but also surprises with its functionality: every centimeter is rationally used Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen. Therefore, it was not necessary to determine the style for a long time: it was supposed to be a bright, cozy apartment in a European style (mainly Scandinavian with Mediterranean elements). The hostess had a clear vision of the interior: it must have a comfortable “non-sofa type” sitting area (bed, armchair or pouf) and a niche with a small dining area in the kitchen. One of the wishes was the functional placement of places for storing outerwear and casual clothes, household items, as well as washing and drying machines and ironing boards. The customer asked not to overload the interior with details, use small bright elements and create a feeling of cleanliness and lightness. Wallpaper, Domestic Jardin gris. Wooden chair, Zara home. Style: Olga Oleynikova The dining area with a sofa, dining table and chair is separated by piers from the cooking area so that a private space is created in each of the zones. Thanks to such zoning, it was possible to “hide” the gas pipe. It is available next to the stove and does not violate the aesthetic perception of the room. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen. Style: Olga Oleynikova The kitchen is located at the end of the room. The entrance to it is through a room in which a sliding door with a dense porch is provided, which meets the necessary requirements for gasified kitchens. Built-in refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and storage space are hidden in spacious cabinets up to the ceiling. The kitchen workspace, on the contrary, is lined up L-shaped. Style: Olga Oleynikova In the hallway, to the left of the entrance door, a built-in wardrobe for outerwear with a compartment for storing household items was placed. Opposite the closet there is a combined bathroom, and between the entrance to the room and the bathroom, a technical cabinet is hidden in a niche. There is a washing machine with a drying function, as well as a place for storing household items. From the room you can go to the dressing room with casual clothes. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen. Her enthusiasm was picked up by the French brand’s floral wallpaper in the kitchen. Their large floral ornament resembles a painting. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen. Style: Olga Oleynikova “I created a single bright background in this interior and achieved minimal fragmentation of space by materials and decor,” says the author of the project Anna Rims. — The floors are solved as much as possible in one material: the floor from the hallway “flows” into the bathroom. The joint of the ceiling and walls is solved through a large-radius galtel, so that the border between the ceiling and the wall is visually erased. The ceiling seems to be higher, although physically its height is 2.4 m.” Apartment in Moscow. The project of Anna Rims.Ekaterina Sobko Original content from the site
