Apartment of 56 m2 with three windows in the living room Design 18.06.2022 In a small space, Olga Klimenok thought through all the details — from the smart home system and walls with moss to the door for the cat Sofa Boca Room, moss on the walls Alivotec. Color scheme: monochrome base with juicy lime Contacts:designer Olga Klimenok, http://klimenok.design Kitchen. Dining chairs, IKEA and Montly. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen Before the redevelopment, it was a two-bedroom apartment with an area of 56 sq. m. At the request of the owner, the space was changed so that a free living room with a kitchen and an isolated bedroom turned out. The approval of the redevelopment simplified the location of the apartment on the top floor, the gas stove was abandoned by combining the kitchen and living room. The bright kitchen acts as a background and incorporates elements of the decoration of the entire room: the apron is made of stone mosaic, which is used in the hallway, the countertop is made of the same material as the window sills, smooth kitchen facades merge with the white paint of the ceiling and walls. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen “The customer is a young man who works in the IT field. And this project has an interesting filling. Not just an electric drive for curtains, but a whole system of scenarios that can be programmed for yourself. Not a single switch is connected directly to the lamp,” Olga notes. After leveling the floors and ceiling, the height of the room became critically small — 245 cm, but due to the vertical lines in the decoration, the proportional height of the doors, the calculated rhythms and volumes that were realized, it is difficult to guess about low ceilings View from the living room towards the bedroom. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen When the kitchen was attached, the living room received three windows, one of them with a balcony door. “The main idea was to combine them into a common composition. To enhance the wow effect, we sewed up the balcony door in the living room, having previously agreed on the exit to the balcony through the bedroom. This solution gave us three identical windows. This is how the black wall appeared, which, like a passepartout, forms a triptych of views of the city,” says Olga Klimenok. “I made a coffee table out of a skein of reinforcing mesh, the interior should not be sterile. Live and somewhere even “wild” objects add to his spontaneity” Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen The main theme in the living room was panoramic views of the city and lively green walls. Everything else works as a background and function, except for a few bright decorative accents. It was important for the owner to create a modern open space for living and hanging out, so the sofa in the living room is open in two directions. Sitting facing the dining area, it offers a view of the lime-colored table. Among the monochrome base of white, smoky, graphite shades, it sets a life-affirming mood. This bright accent, continued in the coffee table, looks harmoniously in a duet with a deep shade of moss when the illumination of decorative walls is lit. Living room. Cabinet furniture Mr. Doors. To preserve the airiness of the space, the designer designed the facades of cabinets that mimic the walls. They are made to the full height of the apartment without dividing horizontally. In the section that opens into the hallway, there is a secret entrance to the tray of another resident of this apartment — a black cat. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen Cabinet furniture Mr. Doors. It supports the rhythm of openings on the facades of cabinets, which were made for technical necessity — for air conditioning. The balcony is attached to the bedroom, where a mini-office was organized. Photo Olga Shangina-Lesterlen According to the author of the project, there is no need to be afraid of black and other dark, contrasting shades in interiors — if used correctly, they allow you to emphasize the important, make the space deeper and more voluminous. In the bathroom, it turned out to place a large utility block with a built-in dryer and washing machine, laundry baskets and storage of household chemicals.
