Apartment of 90 m2 for a young couple who loves music, books and painting Design 21.03.2023 The main task of the designer Tatiana Krasikova was to organically fit modern paintings from the collection of customers into the classic interior. What came out of it — says the author of the project Living room. Paint, Benjamin Moore. Stucco, “Dicart”. Sofa, armchair, pouf, Mdehouse. Photo Olga Shangina The interior of this Moscow apartment was created for a young married couple with a child. First of all, the customers asked to use classical elements and “living” materials, such as wood and gypsum, in the decoration. The walls had to be white, the floor was parquet, and the furniture was light and comfortable, in the spirit of the 1960s and 70s. It was also necessary to find a place for paintings, books and musical instruments in the apartment. A custom-made showcase according to the designer’s sketches, Prestige de France. Bedside Table, Dantone Home. The mirror is made to order, Ava zerkala. Photo Olga Shangina Initially, there were no partitions in the apartment, but there were load-bearing columns and crossbars. To beat them, I made symmetrical niches in the living room, in which bookcases were placed. We used the same technique in the bedroom: the bed stands between columns, one of which we added for symmetry. Kitchen, “Alfa-design”. Floor tiles, Vives. Wall tiles, Equipe Ceramicas. Lamps, Loft Concept. Photo Olga Shangina Painting by Yuri Zlotnikov. Photo Olga Shangina We made the opening to the kitchen-living room as large as possible in order to let as much light as possible into the long narrow corridor. The layout is such that there is no escape from the corridor, so we decided to turn it into an art gallery. By the way, the works of Yuri Zlotnikov have become not only the decoration of the apartment, but also my ideological inspiration. Thanks to them, I decided to add bright shades to the classic interior, which I saw on the canvases of an abstract artist. Painting by Evgeny Shadko. There is a built-in storage system, behind the facades of which there is also a technical cabinet, and a large mirror in a gilded frame. Bed, Dantone Home. Bedside table, LuLu Space. Photo Olga Shangina The owners really like to cook together, so we tried to make the kitchen as comfortable as possible for two. We placed it in a niche and separated it from the rest of the space by an island, into which we entered an oven, a freezer and storage cabinets. Wall tiles, Adex. Faucets, Nicolazzi. The furniture is made to order according to the sketches of the designer, “TD Zeromax”. Shower partition, Radaway. Accessories, Zara Home Photo Olga Shangina Floor tiles, Vives. Bath, Victoria + Albert. Radiators, Arbonia. Stool, Zara home. Photo Olga Shangina The bedroom turned out to be quite spacious. There was a place for a large closet and a sitting area with an armchair and a floor lamp. The master bathroom originally had a window — a rarity for Moscow apartments. Wooden blinds hide what is happening in the room from prying eyes and at the same time let in daylight, making the space even more cozy. Also in the room there is a wardrobe, a bed-house and a place for games. Built-in wardrobes are made to order according to the designer’s sketches.
