We found a similar option in one of the best residential areas of Minsk “Novaya Borovaya”. The area of the apartment is relatively small – 79 sq.m., however, it provided everything you need: two children’s rooms, a bedroom with a balcony, a living room-kitchen and a real office with a window! We asked my mother, architect Lyubov Pyaskovskaya, to help with the design of the new house. Sofa, Letto. Painting by Ilona Kosobuko. Cabinets, Radius Bel. Photo Egor Pyaskovsky. Style: Yulia Mammadova I am an interior photographer, that is, a person with a somewhat transformed perception of interiors and living spaces. Over the years, I have seen many wonderful projects and could definitely imagine my dream home. Fortunately, my beautiful wife’s preferences completely coincide with mine. We both wanted to create a relatively simple, cozy and maximally comfortable space. Hanger, IKEA. Photo Egor Pyaskovsky. Style: Yulia Mammadova Decorative brick, “Feudal Lord”. Tile, Estima. They decided to leave the ceiling “bare” at all, framing it in several rooms with a plaster profile. The floors throughout the apartment are covered with granite with the texture of the same slightly “warm” concrete and light parquet board from Boen. Bed, Euroidea. Style: Yulia Mammadova The heart of the house was a small kitchen-living room. We wanted everything from her at once. I wanted to put a soft sofa for guests and a comfortable dining table, organize enough storage and work surfaces, and preferably leave a maximum of free space where children can run. Mom drew a lot of options for us, and in the end, everything we planned was realized! The kitchen was decided to be made of black matte plastic, so that it seems almost invisible, although it takes up a decent amount of space. The countertops and apron, on the contrary, were chosen white. A huge storage cabinet in red wine color dilutes monochrome and is a good background for other color accents, such as a yellow sofa. Style: Yulia Mammadova It’s interesting how we moved. It was scary to start the process, collect a million things and transport it all. So one day we decided that tomorrow we would just take the essentials and move. Already on the first evening, sitting with a glass of wine in our new apartment to the sounds of a vinyl record player, we felt at home. Sink and cabinet, Jacob Delafon. Wardrobe and bathtub, Roca.
