This apartment is located on the fifth floor of a house built at the beginning of the XX century. The main task of the B2 Architecture bureau was to adapt the layout typical for that period with separate rooms and a long corridor to modern living conditions. The architects demolished most of the partitions, thereby turning an ordinary “two-bedroom” into a spacious studio with a bedroom separated by a glass structure.

Color has become the main zoning tool. The resulting 80-meter open space is made in monochrome, complemented by wooden accents, while the entire bedroom is shrouded in a complex blue-green shade.

In an effort to bring a loft style note to the interior, the architects used such timeless materials as metal and glass. The historical significance of the place is emphasized by the open section of the original concrete wall, which the team framed with new plaster as a work of art. The studio also restored the old oak parquet, and decorated the bathroom with white tiles, which was especially popular in the first half of the XX century.

Among other things, the architects restored chairs in the mid-century modern style, which were accidentally discovered in the apartment. Vintage furniture harmoniously combines with custom-made items and samples of modern Czech design.
