Ash wood is valued not only for its beautiful appearance, but also for its performance characteristics: it is a durable, elastic and wear-resistant material. In addition, it is hard and dense due to the latter property, the tree does not absorb water as much as some other breeds (for example, pine). It also does not dry out over time, which is important for furniture and finishing materials.

There are more than 50 varieties of ash, so the shades of the surface may vary slightly, but they all belong to a calm milk-coffee range. Manufacturers offer two main colors: ash shimo dark and, accordingly, light. The first one looks brighter, the color has a pronounced brown undertone, usually warm. The color ash shimo light has a wide variety of shades: from beige and pinkish to a colder color with a departure in gray. Among the most popular variations of asahi, pearl, vanilla, milk.

Also, a special characteristic of this wood (or its imitation) is a pronounced natural pattern in the form of distinct veins of different lengths and thicknesses. Light wooden openings (or “under the tree”) look easy, natural and noble. This is a good alternative to plastic or simple smooth lamination.
