Berloga bar opened in St. Petersburg Design 01.06.2022 A staircase with a florarium, tree shadows and rich green shades immerse guests in the atmosphere of a summer forest Photo Anton Ivanov A new gastrobar “Den” has opened in the center of St. Petersburg, not far from the Peter and Paul Fortress. The basis of its menu consists of wild meat dishes and fish from its own farm, so the designer Anastasia Zimatskaya sought to recreate the atmosphere of a hunting lodge in the interior, playing on subtle associations. Photo Anton Ivanov Photo [email protected] The Den is located in a historic building. The elegant arch of the entrance has become one of the main sources of inspiration: its shape is repeated more than once in the interior. The arches are complemented by backlighting and tinted glasses, which create a depth effect. The heart of the establishment — the bar — is placed around the supporting columns, and its geometry repeats the broken architecture of the room. The counter is finished with stone panels with a pronounced texture, which gives the interior brutality. An image of trees and foliage is projected on one of the walls, immersing guests in the atmosphere of a summer forest. The forest theme is continued by a glass illuminated staircase with a florarium and an abundance of greenery.
