Ksenia’s main task was to create a comfortable space for all family members and guests who are always welcome here. “I tried to do a little more than the impossible. The layout was completely redesigned: all the walls were moved to increase the area of the kitchen-living room. The bedrooms turned out to be small, but comfortable. We also provided a niche for the laundry room and a place for storing seasonal clothes,” says the landlady of the apartment. But thanks to the U-shaped shape and light facades, it seems almost invisible. “The kitchen borders on the dining area, so we cook and chat with the guests together. Sofas and bookshelves are also located here.” Photo Mikhail Chekalov Shelving, IKEA. It turned out to be unusual and very convenient.” Photo Mikhail Chekalov According to the architect, the most difficult thing was to choose a color scheme. As a result, the interior harmoniously combines many saturated shades — from graphite to mustard. At the same time, a wide white stripe stretches along the entire perimeter of the apartment, due to which the ceilings seem noticeably higher. Chest of drawers and bedside table, IKEA. Among other things, it was chock-full of vegetables and our dresses. At the border, they didn’t even open the trunk so that nothing would fall out.” Cabinet under the sink, IKEA.
