“The interior of this apartment was created for a young purposeful and ambitious man. The customer leads an active lifestyle and often travels for work, and in those rare moments when he is at home, he prefers a calm, measured rest. Our task was to create a stylish and maximally functional interior that sets you up for relaxation,” says designer Ilya Gulyants.

“Developing a new layout, we decided to combine the kitchen and living room. It was not easy to do this, because there were no communications provided in the corridor area. However, we fully agreed on the BTI plan and managed to turn the corner “two-bedroom” into a spacious three-room apartment with a separate bedroom and an office. We also managed to organize a small pantry and a utility closet with a laundry area.”

“The whole apartment is made in a natural color scheme. The shade of ocean sand allowed to dissolve the living room space as much as possible and fill it with light. In the study, the color of juicy grass adjusts to the working mood, and the deep misty blue tone in the bedroom, on the contrary, soothes and immerses in an atmosphere of serenity.”

“Since the apartment is relatively small — only 59 sq.m., we tried to make it seem bigger. A deliberately voluminous lamp located above the dining table visually expanded the boundaries of the space and divided it into two functional zones. Almost all storage systems are built-in, which made it possible to free rooms from bulky cabinets, and mirrored surfaces made storage spaces almost invisible at all.”

“The main character of the interior was art and vintage. Above the boucle fabric sofa in the living room is the work of Sergei Bondarev. The Danish chest of drawers of the 1970s was decorated with a dreamy abstraction by Maria Kostareva. In the study, next to a leather armchair designed by Arne Norell, there is a Dutch floor lamp with a conical ceiling lamp. However, our most favorite element of the interior was the headboard of the bed. Unusual and at the same time concise, it was made according to our sketches using natural rattan.”
