Photo Mikhail Stepanov Every guest who first gets into this unusual apartment on the Patriarchs, the owners — Nikolai and Ksenia Kruglov, the founders of the architectural and design bureau Lux Interiors — offer to solve the riddle: “Do you see this high relief on the ceiling? For his composition, we have collected a whole collection of ancient heroes. All the characters are feasting, jubilant, joyful — after all, the high relief occupies a central place in the dining room, where we receive our beloved friends. To make sure that love is mutual, the company of centaurs is Cupid, who shoots arrows of love at everyone entering the room. And since our interior is a bright fusion, we handed over a couple of modern gizmos to the ancient heroes: a mobile phone and a video surveillance camera. And now the task: find these objects on the high relief.” Kitchen, MK Cucine. Sink and mixer, Omoikiri. Spot light, Centrsvet. Oak parquet “Versailles”, Finex. Marble works, “KAM-Manufactory”. Photo Mikhail Stepanov “When we bought this apartment of 127 m2, it had a good renovation, but only three rooms: one large space on the ground floor, a bulky staircase with flights eating up about 15 m2, and two small rooms on the second floor. The laundry room had the best view, and there was a large Jacuzzi in the middle of the living room,” Ksenia recalls. View from the dining room to the study. There is a living-dining room, a kitchen and an office for working alone, together, as well as for collaboration with employees and partners. A huge table with eight seats is made of 500-year-old oak slab. On the walls — a very bold shade of paint from Argile. This brand is known for using the colors of wildlife, due to which even the brightest shades of its palette look organic and pleasing to the eye. In particular, our shade stimulates productivity and creative imagination.” View from the study to the dining room. Carved chair, antique, France. Swing door, Busatto.
