Brutal minimalism: a townhouse for a creative family with four children Design 16.04.2022 The brutal interior with a clear desire to minimize details and shapes turned out to be convenient and comfortable for a married couple and their four children. Wooden and hand-made items add to the atmosphere of home warmth. Housing in a townhouse located in New Moscow, just 25 km from the MKAD, was purchased by a large family. The owner of the new housing works in the event industry, his wife is a subject designer and project manager. Layout Three-storey housing with a free layout and high ceilings opened up great opportunities for the organization of functional and ergonomic space. The first floor, following the concept of dividing the dwelling into public and private zones, was decided to be allocated for a large dressing room, technical rooms and a combined kitchen-living room, where family members communicate with each other and with guests. The second floor was completely given to children (there are four of them in the family). Unlike the first floor, which was viewed through and through, the second level should have been divided into separate rooms. The two older girls need personal space, and preschoolers need a large area for games. The third floor is the parents’ place. It was supposed to have an open space format with a competent division into a bedroom, a work area and a spa area. Where to look for announcements of materials and fresh ideas for the interior?
