Garage and Leta jewelry brand have created a joint jewelry collection. Two pairs of earrings, three rings, a necklace and a bracelet refer to one of the symbols of the museum – the mosaic panel “Autumn”, located in the atrium.

The Garage’s collaboration with the Leta brand looks extremely logical: the museum introduces Muscovites to contemporary art, and the founders of the jewelry brand, architect Katya Alagich and entrepreneur Mikhail Tantsura, create jewelry inspired by art. “When creating the collection, I delved into the history of the Soviet heritage – I studied the prerequisites for the appearance and significance of mosaic panels in the decoration of interiors and exteriors, their main symbols, – Katya shares. “In a sense, mosaics were a tool of visual propaganda, but not always ideological: the images on them tell about world peace, sports, labor, space, the desire for the development of civilization, about historical facts.”

The collection is based on the mosaic panel “Autumn”, which is now located in the atrium of the museum. Each piece of jewelry is a story that all the particles and grains are original, valuable and are the basis of a great idea. The color and shape of the enamel inserts are similar to the original mosaic fragments. For example, rectangular poussettes with white enamel refer to the lightest elements of the mosaic – a flying bird and the wind. The gaps in the jewelry symbolize the lost parts, but no less significant for history.

In addition to the fact that Garage and Leta are connected by art, for many years the organizations have been united by charitable activities. “Our history with the museum began in 2019, we became the first corporate donors of the Garage endowment fund,” says Mikhail. —Over these few years, the support has grown into a real friendship between the teams, from which a joint collection was born, as well as the idea of transferring 5% of the sale of each jewelry to the endowment fund””
