Country house in monochrome in the Moscow region

The team of “LVA-interior” was faced with the task of turning a concrete box into a cozy, modern house that would quickly find its buyer. Anna Karpova, the founder of the bureau, tells about the project

This country house, located in one of the prestigious cottage settlements in the nearest Moscow region, has a difficult history. We were invited when the “box” of the house was already standing, and the facades were finished. During the design and construction, the owners’ lives changed dramatically and eventually they decided to sell it. We, in turn, had to breathe life into concrete and adapt previous solutions to a new task.

We encounter such requests quite often, and there are two main difficulties in them. Firstly, not everyone can approach design solutions focused on certain owners. Secondly, the owners are not always ready to invest in a project for sale. But in our case, we managed to convince the owners to invest in the design and implement almost all the conceived solutions.

The house itself is made in a modern style and has an unusual V-shaped layout. Two wings form a secluded patio, which is a logical continuation of the dining room and living room on the ground floor, and allow you to hide from the eyes of neighbors. In addition, this form of the house dictates a clear functional zoning of the space of the second floor.

According to the original project, it was assumed that one wing of the house would be occupied by children. There are three bedrooms and a small living room between them. The second wing is completely parental: with a large bedroom, dressing room, library and offices of the owners of the house. In the basement there is a single room space that combines several zones: a spa, a billiard room, wine rooms and a home theater.

Since the house was planned for sale, the interior is designed in an unobtrusive color scheme of beige and gray shades. A bright “spot” was a red modular sofa in the living room and blue buds-lamps that decorated one of the bedrooms. Also, the palette is diluted with wooden parts, most of which were made to order. Mostly
the project uses premium brands of Italian furniture and light manufacturers.
