Cozy, bright studio of 31 m2 in Gothenburg Design 09.07.2022 How to place everything you need for a comfortable life (and even a large kitchen!) on the minimum area Photo Anders Bergstedt This tiny one-and-a-half-room studio is located in a quiet area of Gothenburg Kungshöjd, in a green quarter with cozy courtyards away from the big highways. Photo Anders Bergstedt The area of the apartment is only 31 square meters, and yet the designers managed to place here everything necessary for a comfortable life of one or two people, including a large kitchen equipped with all necessary appliances and a bathroom with a washing machine and dryer (the eternal problem of small rooms, where there is often not enough space for large household appliances). 1/4 Photo: Anders Bergstedt There is no hallway as such: it occupies a small corner of the living room at the entrance to the apartment: there is a compact shoe cabinet and a clothes hanger that is attached to the ceiling. Everything is thought out as much as possible, functional and uses every square centimeter of a small room. Photo Anders Bergstedt Photo Anders Bergstedt The living room is combined with the dining room and kitchen and occupies the main area of the studio. Bright, with high ceilings and two large windows overlooking a quiet courtyard, it does not look cramped and gloomy. On the contrary, there is a lot of light and air, and there was a place for everything you need: a large sofa, a TV, a dining table for 4 people. Photo Anders Bergstedt The kitchen was placed in the corner — so it takes up a minimum of space. The furniture is custom-made in the local workshop of Taras Hallgren & Son, which allowed to maximize the storage systems without compromising the work area. The dishwasher and refrigerator with freezer are hidden behind beautiful dark green facades, creating a visually integral image. From the kitchen along a small corridor, which is equipped with spacious cabinets, you get to the bathroom. Here, too, everything is thought out in favor of maximum functionality. The bathtub was replaced with a corner shower cabin, thanks to which it was possible to allocate space for a full-fledged washing machine with a drying function. The bed stands on a high podium, in which additional storage areas have been arranged. Photo Anders Bergstedt Photo Anders Bergstedt The interior is made in a light color scheme with a predominance of warm beige shades, especially fashionable this season. They allow you to make a small room visually brighter and more spacious, and also fill it with comfort and home warmth. And so that the space does not look too monotonous and boring, the facades of the kitchen are painted in a soft dark green color. Apartment plan.Poll Would you like to live in such a small studio?
