Style: Tatiana Gedike “The customers, a musical family with two sons, found me in an unusual way,” says architect Mila Titova, “they repeatedly visited friends whose apartment was made according to my project. Perhaps the positive experience of those friends pushed them to buy a new apartment. Well, they already knew who to call.” The owners of the apartment and their friends love karaoke, so special attention is paid to the media zone in the living room. There are three scenarios: watching TV, karaoke and cinema. The projector screen is extendable and hidden in the ceiling structure. The work with the ceiling space was jewelry, since in the same place there are routes for air ducts, as well as adapters for supply ventilation hidden in the cornice lighting. The corner sofa stands between the windows, so ceiling speakers are provided at the back to ensure high-quality sound. Doors and wooden wall panels, Ghizzi&Benatti. Style: Tatiana Gedike The kitchen-living room has a clear functional zoning due to the configuration of the room, as well as the ceiling design in the dining area. Wooden rivers suggest associations with pergolas and warm summer days. The light source is directed at the ceiling, which creates a soft reflected light and an intimate atmosphere at dinner. Thanks to this, the kitchen, although hidden in a niche, looks bright and cozy. “The hood in the kitchen usually always attracts all the attention,” the author of the project continues. — Our main character is a dining table, so we decided to hide the hood. I bet you won’t find her in the photo. And she is! Built-in. With an air vent hidden inside the wall. Thanks to this little trick, the ceiling did not have to be lowered over the upper cabinets. Instead, there are mirrors that visually expand the kitchen space.” Kitchen, Hanak. Apron and countertop, Grandex. Technique, Neff. Photo Sergey Krasyuk. Style: Tatiana Gedike Children have a similar color scheme, but a different character. For example, in the younger son’s room there is a space for active outdoor games, as well as a hanging chair and a cork board for drawings. By profession, the boy’s mother is a doctor, so the image of a funny monster on the wall was called “Monsieur germ”, and he quickly became a universal favorite. Chair, BoConcept. Table lamp, Flos. Photo Sergey Krasyuk. Style: Tatiana Gedike The biggest effect on everyone who gets into this room is produced by a hanging chair, apparently for many adults it is a childhood dream. By the way, it became the subject of lively discussions: parents were worried whether the structure would withstand if two or even three children climbed there at the same time. The father of the family was so enthusiastic about this idea that he volunteered to personally test it. First, a pallet of bricks was hung on the installed anchor bolt in the ceiling ceiling and left for 5 hours, and then for a month the customer came to the facility several times a week and personally checked the chair for strength. During testing, it turned out that this is an ideal place for telephone conversations. As a result, the child seat became his favorite “business chair”. The dark graphite wall makes the interior more contrasting and allows a teenager to hold brainstorms with a crayon in his hand. The desktop has no supports, it is mounted on console mounts embedded in the wall at the level of rough finishing. Built-in cabinets in the niche make the room functional and maintain the correct proportions of the room. Chair, BoConcept. Style: Tatiana Gedike The parents’ bathroom is compact, but ergonomic. The furniture is made according to sketches, taking into account the dimensions of the room, the sink and the habits of adults. The cabinets are tinted to match the granite and emphasize the line of the tile edge. The vertical illumination inside the shower is moisture—resistant and creates a special relaxing mood due to the side light. Sink, Antonio LUPI. Style: Tatiana Gedike The children’s bathroom is designed for two boys who are going to school at the same time in the morning. Two floor sinks allow boys to wash at the same time, avoiding disputes about who will be the first to brush their teeth. Mirrors and sconces made of black metal hint at the masculine nature of the bathroom. Sink, Laufen. Faucets, shower system, Handsgrohe. Bath, Villeroy&Boch. Photo Sergey Krasyuk. Style: Tatiana Gedike The hallway is an area that is the hallmark of the house. The marble panels on the wall opposite the entrance give it a grandeur. Thin metal slats visually increase the vertical space. The mirror panel at the entrance also makes the room taller and more dynamic. Photo Sergey Krasyuk. Style: Tatiana Gedike Apartment in Moscow.
