The apartment offers a beautiful view — the windows of the living room overlook the temple where Kutuzov was married, and from the bedroom and study you can see the courtyard where the legendary film “With a light steam” was filmed. For this family, the designer and architect designed a country house a few years ago, so the work on the apartment is their second joint project. The main task was to create a beautiful and comfortable living space, and at the same time reflect the love of the owners for the aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s, as well as delicately introduce a rich blue color into the interior. Style: Marina Geuko, Olga Guseva From an architectural point of view, the apartment has a unique feature: it is a quarter circle, and all the windows are located on an arc. Due to this, there is not a single living room of a classic rectangular shape in the apartment. The staircase, made according to individual sketches of the designer and architect, is the link between the first and second floors. The authors of the project tried to make it easy to perceive and at the same time functional: bicycles and air conditioning equipment are stored under it. Style: Marina Geuko, Olga Guseva A semicircular wall with windows runs through the kitchen and living room, dissolving the boundaries of the room, and unites the two zones into a single whole. There are many unique items in the living room: a console with wood paintings made by Italian craftsmen, a unique Italian chandelier that used to decorate the Palace of Culture, a vintage coffee table in the center of which is a brass—trimmed container where you can put wine glasses or a vase with flowers. Style: Marina Geuko, Olga Guseva Between the kitchen and the living room there is a supporting column, which the authors of the project turned into a showcase for the collection of the author’s ceramics. Thus, this area has become both beautiful and functional at the same time. The showcase is made to order, Be Home Buro. Ceramics, Oksana Afanasyeva. Photo Evgeny Kulibaba. Style: Marina Geuko, Olga Guseva The kitchen is combined with the dining room. Its main decoration is a vintage Tulip dining table designed by Eero Saarinen, paired with a vintage Venini chandelier of the same time. The chairs in the style of Ico Parisi were converted into a juicy lemon shade fabric, which refreshed the monochrome gray-white space of this zone. Chandelier, vintage, Venini, Viva Vintage Gallery.
