Photo Sergey Ananyev The customers of the apartment, a young family with two children, knew exactly what they wanted: firstly, that everything was ready on time, secondly, it corresponded to the principles of environmental friendliness, and thirdly, the interior in a Mediterranean theme. The tasks are not easy, but we managed to cope. Living room. The sofa, daybed and poufs are made in the DNK-Interior workshop. We refused direct quotes like wallpapers with seascapes, preferring more subtle hints. First of all, this is the color palette of the main zones. The mint shade of Design Guild 86 was taken as a basis, the walls, built-in furniture and part of the kitchen were painted with this color, as well as the sofa in the living room of this shade. Using this technique, we sort of dissolved the furniture, making the space seem more spacious. The use of wood with different textures, cement tiles with characteristic prints, Italian Terrazzo stone also refers to the Mediterranean. As well as atmospheric furniture: a round table, chairs with rattan weaving, a chandelier made of aged wood caught in the ocean, wooden shutters on the windows. But in the project from the developer there was a small kitchen and an isolated living room. The redevelopment resulted in a large living room combined with a kitchen, as well as spacious children’s rooms, a bedroom, two bathrooms and a dressing room. There are many interesting solutions in the project. For example, thanks to the combination of the kitchen and the living room, the kitchen area turned out to be large, with many storage systems and spacious work surfaces, all the necessary household appliances and a large glass cabinet for storing the porcelain collection were placed here. In the living room area there is a spacious rack for the library of customers and a collection of cameras, a home theater with a pull-out screen built into the ceiling and modern equipment. Kitchen, all built-in storage systems, shelving, upholstered furniture, dining table and chest of drawers in the living room, dressing room, doors are made to order according to our sketches. Photo Sergey Ananyev “When choosing materials, first of all we thought about their environmental friendliness” Preference was given to suppliers who have eco-certificates for their products. For example, all wooden objects are made from raw materials certified according to the FSC standard (products are made from forests in which environmentally and socially responsible forestry is conducted), all textiles have a Naturtextil certificate (this means that not only the composition, but also the production and disposal process have been checked for such fabrics). We used water-soluble paints based on Argile sunflower oil and innovative clay paints, recyclable materials, for example, the bathtub and part of the earthenware are made of hygienic, wear-resistant and recyclable material. Special attention in each project is paid to the use of energy-saving technologies that have a minimal impact on the environment: heat-saving windows, faucets with Ecototal cartridges and aerators, earthenware with an adjustable volume of drained water, LED lighting systems, energy- and water-saving household appliances. All designs are made in the carpentry workshop according to the designer’s sketches. Photo Sergey Ananyev The younger generation of customers was not inferior to the older one: the girls were 11 years old, and they also clearly imagined their rooms. One wanted a nursery in blue tones and wallpaper with clouds, and the second chose a lilac scale and a painting with swallows. And both agreed that it was very important for them to constantly communicate with each other, so we designed a window between the rooms that closes with shutters. www.home-nature.ru Style: Natalia Onufreychuk.
