The villa has a spa complex with guest apartments, the design of which was done by Tina Kamchatnova’s studio Liberty Design. Artificial pond on the terrace on one of the levels of the spa area. Photo SERGEY KRASYUK The customer turned out to be a big fan of holidays in the resorts of Southeast Asia. He immediately decided to abandon the traditional Greek Mediterranean style and bring an Asian flavor to the project, which would convey the atmosphere of his beloved Indonesia and the Maldives. Photo SERGEY KRASYUK Photo SERGEY KRASYUK “The construction site was small and at the same time located on the slope of a cliff, so we arranged each block of premises in a cascade in the form of terraces on five levels,” says Tina. In addition, the customer wanted the sea to be visible from any point, so glass facades were made at each level, thanks to which nothing prevents admiring the seascape from the rooms and spa. The lamps in one of the spa areas are made of mats bought on the island. Photo SERGEY KRASYUK In order not to move the bathroom in the spa area into a separate room, a wavy rack partition was built. It imitates a screen with a built-in door, repeating the smooth curve of the structure. And the ethnic cone—shaped lamps on the hot tub were made by the designers themselves from mats bought on the island – it turned out to be unusual and very “Indonesian”. Photo SERGEY KRASYUK Tsch Photo SERGEY KRASYUK The main pride of the authors of the project is the original bath in the form of a boat, made to order according to their sketches made of concrete. It is covered with a special composition that prevents moisture absorption and protects the material from stains and stains that may result from the use of herbal infusions and oils during procedures. The bathtub is equipped with a built-in heating system, so that the water in it does not cool down, and is “moored” to a tree “growing” directly from the floor. Special niches are carved in the trunk for storing accessories and bath accessories, and the branches are decorated with an oriental-style pendant lamp. Photo SERGEY KRASYUK “When we went in search of an old dry tree, to the trunk of which a concrete bath boat was later tied, this story happened to us,” says Tina. — A local craftsman took us to an old olive grove located nearby. But we were afraid to get out of the car — it was full of snakes basking in the sun! For the Greek, this was a matter of habit: he simply scared them away by stamping his bare feet on the ground. But it was creepy for us.” A concrete bath-boat tied to a real olive tree is the main pride of the author of the project. Photo Sergey Krasyuk Mostly natural materials are used in the interiors: wood, stone — all this is richly decorated with hand-carved Indonesian style. All the furnishings, including furniture, lights, doors, partitions, are made according to Tina’s sketches at the production in Moscow, although they look very authentic. All decorative elements with carvings are made in Moscow according to the sketches of designers. For example, the sofa in the guest apartments is made in the form of a couch, the basis for which are real logs. Its design was also invented in Liberty Design studio and implemented with the help of local craftsmen. An ethnic charm is also attached to a wicker hanging chair — after all, nothing sets you up for a carefree summer vacation like rocking chairs, swings and hammocks! Designers were not afraid to mix completely different textures of wood in one interior, because that’s exactly what happens in nature. The sofa is made in the form of a couch on logs.
