This interior was created by the founder and inspirer of NK Studio Nata Kosareva for herself and her family, which means that every choice and every decision made implied a special responsibility. The apartment has an area of 100 sq. m. m is located in a new residential complex in the Presnensky district of Moscow.

“It initially had many advantages, the main of which are high ceilings and panoramic windows with a beautiful view, thanks to which it seems as if you are in a country residence,” says Nata. — As for the layout, it was important for us to divide the spaces according to their function. This is a common area — a kitchen and a living room, a guest bathroom, a laundry room — and private areas: a bedroom, a dressing room and a bathroom for each family member.”

“In this project, great importance was paid to architectural volumes: all of them did not appear by chance and in fact hide technical communications. I wanted to create a mood of purity, lightness, let light into the space. The interior of the apartment was conceived restrained and modern, despite the fact that I planned to fill it with works of collectible design made in different years of the last century. The beginning of the collection has already been laid: this is the Camaleonda sofa designed by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia, vintage Lucien Gau Paris sconces, De Majo table lamp and much more. By the way, there is not a single TV in our apartment, instead a projector and a home theater system are installed in the living room area.”

Nata’s son Matvey is a student of the diplomatic school, is fond of studying French, playing the piano, and he is also a fan of the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat. It is not surprising that a portrait of the artist, painted by Matvey, appeared in the interior. “My son and I love contemporary art, we often visit exhibitions and fairs and replenish our collection,” says the designer. — At the same time, most of the works later find their place in the homes of customers, but first they “live” in our space. I feel comfortable in the atmosphere of galleries, where the mood changes with the change of exposure. This is connected with the choice of the color of the walls — gallery white.”

But it seems that the object with the most interesting story in this interior is a chair that the builders put together from pine boards for temporary use even before the start of construction work. “When I first saw him, I immediately realized that he would stay in the interior,” recalls Nata. — After the completion of the project, the chair was taken to the restoration workshop, sanded and painted, now it is part of the interior of my son’s room. I must note, in addition, that the chair has perfect proportions, it is very convenient to use.”

Workplace in the nursery. The chair was made by Mikhail Poliksha, foreman of the construction team. Pelota table lamp, 1965, Viva Vintage Gallery. The canvas in the frame is not a decoration, but a requirement of the owner of the room: a blank canvas should always hang in it in case of sudden inspiration.
