I had to take into account not only my tastes and preferences, but also the wishes of other family members. I listened to my inner responses, choosing from a variety of solutions those that I would like to live with for a long time and that would not bother me in a year. My family is a husband and two sons, so it was important to make not a gentle “girly” and not a brutal dark, but a bright, modern, light and cozy interior suitable for each of us. And calm, like our cat – the star of the photo shoot, without which there was not a single frame.” Table on the right, Zuiver. Painting over the sofa, Maria Kapitanova, Marilux showroom. Style: Kira Prokhorova Special attention was paid to the layout and arrangement of furniture. “It is a competent layout that is the basis of a successful design project and the key to a comfortable family life,” Anastasia believes. On the ground floor there is a single family space, on the second and attic floors there are private rooms. Piano, Yamaha. Poof, LaRedoute. Display cabinet, IKEA. Style: Kira Prokhorova All the built-in furniture in the house is made to order according to the designer’s sketches and painted in a tone close to the main color of the walls. This made it possible to enhance the effect of a solid space – comfortable and harmonious for perception. High doors (2350 mm) are installed on the first and second floors: as Anastasia says, correctly selected doors are one of the key components of a spectacular interior. In addition, a complex lighting scenario has been developed for each room. Painting on the fireplace, Maria Kapitanova, Marilux showroom. Planters on a stand, Zara Home. Photo Anton Likhtarovich. Style: Kira Prokhorova “Despite the fact that I like non-standard ideas when working with clients, I did not experiment much in my house and relied on traditional solutions, which my family will not get tired of in a few years,” says the designer. — I also chose furniture and decor of simple, concise forms, without an abundance of details. Although, of course, the gold-colored hood and zebra carpet at the piano can hardly be called calm. Such details are also needed: they do not allow the interior to completely go into the classics.” Roman curtains are made to order. Decor on the island, Zara Home. Semi-wooden stools, IKEA. Style: Kira Prokhorova The dining room is separated from the living room by a partition in which a fireplace is built in. The central place here is given to a round table with an oak top and a brass base, made to order. Its diameter is as much as 140 cm, so five people can easily fit behind it. In the older son’s room, a workplace for studying is organized by the window. In the bedroom of the youngest child, there is a play area in this place. Style: Kira Prokhorova “My favorite technique is used in the bathroom — a combination of smooth painting and tiles on the walls,” says Anastasia. —Such a solution, complemented by accent tiles on the floor, a pedestal with a wood texture, a bathroom by the window and flowers in a wicker planter is a real recipe for a cozy interior!” Poof, LaRedoute. Style: Kira Prokhorova “I am proud that I managed to plan the space correctly and allocate everything that my family needed: a single family-wide space, a master bedroom, several children’s rooms, several bathrooms, a utility room (it is also a laundry room),” Anastasia says in conclusion. — I made a redevelopment, which allowed us to functionally design all the rooms, squeeze the maximum out of the initial data. The feeling of light and air has been preserved thanks to perfectly matched color combinations, lighting scenarios, furniture and decor. The main goal was to create a bright, cozy and modern space, and this task was completed 100%.” 1/3 Duplex in the Moscow region. 1st floor. The project of Anastasia Shcherbakova.
