Moscow apartment 120 m2 with European chic Design 31.12.2022 Architect Ilya Tsvetkov created an elegant interior built on a combination of natural textures of marble and wood Photo Mikhail Stepanov “The interior of this apartment was created for a young man who works in the IT field. This is our third joint project, so we decided on the concept quite quickly. Our task was to create the most comfortable space for living, which surprises with its layering and decorativeness,” says Ilya Tsvetkov. Then, as a unifying color, I suggested using warm gray shades with a light patina in the tinting of all joinery. The composition was complemented by dark pieces of furniture and golden details.” Photo Mikhail Stepanov “The layout was developed almost from scratch — there were no partitions or supporting columns in the apartment. We have organized a spacious kitchen-living room combined with an entrance hall, a bathroom and a bedroom, from which there is an exit to an office with a dressing room. Polished stone and granite helped visually connect all the rooms. A geometric pattern was invented on the floor, which has no clear boundaries: the lines start from the entrance to the apartment and go into the walls, go into the next rooms and disappear again under the furniture. Reflections and glare in glossy floor surfaces make the space more complex and interesting.” Photo Mikhail Stepanov Photo Mikhail Stepanov “When the work on the layout was completed, it became clear that the apartment lacks a large object that would give the interior a special character. So in the kitchen area there was an island-table, lined with polished marble Breccia Damascata. He also creates an intricate game of glare, reflecting the light coming through the panoramic windows.” Photo Mikhail Stepanov Photo Mikhail Stepanov “In the living room, in a specially designed closet, we managed to hide a TV, a speaker system and a wine library. Thus, an important decorative task was solved — attention should be focused on the great painting work of Alexey Lantsev and on the natural drawing of the stone.” Photo Mikhail Stepanov “In the design of the bedroom, we used polished marble Ombra Di Caravadggio with a symmetrical pattern. One of its shades is repeated in the ceiling decoration, due to which the space is visually stretched upwards.” Photo Mikhail Stepanov “To give the bathroom a more residential character, we covered most of the walls with paint, and the bathroom, shower and sink areas were also lined with natural stone.” Authors of the project: architect Ilya TsvetkovPhoto Mikhail Stepanov Original content from the site
