Nostalgia time: apartment in Sochi with the atmosphere of the 1970s Design 15.04.2022 A new joint project of gallery owner Kristina Krasnianskaya and decorator Marina Busel, Heritage Art Interiors, allows you to travel fifty years into the past and see Sochi as the main bohemian resort Dining area. Photo Sergey Ananyev The interior of this penthouse is imbued with nostalgia for the time when Sochi was the main and most desirable resort of the USSR. Today the world has changed, but Sochi is opening up again for those who are nostalgic for the Soviet past, for those who see it as the center of new opportunities and attraction. You can now follow the sun without going far, and at the same time enjoy the view of palm trees and the gentle sea. Living room. Sofa, Ru-Sky Design. Saporiti chairs, Italy, 1960s. Photo Sergey Ananyev One of the main symbols of Sochi is the palm tree, and it was the palm tree that became the inspiration and starting point for us in creating the interior concept. In the center of the space was a vintage Italian floor lamp from the 1970s. It combines original Soviet stained glass windows, Italian author’s vintage pieces of furniture, modern design objects, author’s ceramics, items made specifically for this project to order, and collected works of the best Soviet publications that emphasize the connection with the era. I wanted to fill the apartment with works that, on the one hand, would tell a story about the sea and the aesthetics of the 1970s, and on the other hand, would be self-valuable works of art. Photo Sergey Ananyev In fact, the works of various authors who so successfully emphasized this interior form an independent collection: these are paintings, sculptures, photography and graphics by Andre Lansky, the “creator of color light”. Three paintings by the artist Oksana Mas deserve special attention. Young art is represented by the works of Masha Demyanova, Leonid Sorokin and Nikita Lukyanov. The Soviet stained glass windows have been restored and supplemented with LED lighting. Photo Sergey Ananyev A fragment of the bedroom. Floor lamp, Aromas del Campo.
