How many functional areas can fit in one room? The answers to these questions were found by designers from the Studio of Maria Dadiani, who were invited to work on this interior. The owner of the apartment – a young man of 30 years old, was dissatisfied with the layout of his apartment. First of all, he sorely lacked storage systems. “Our customer considered this apartment as housing for the next 3-5 years, until a family and small children appear in his life,” says the designer. – We are talking about a six-story brick house of the 1950s near Kolomenskoye Park. When we first found ourselves here, we realized that redevelopment was definitely required. The living room (18 sq. m.) was very cramped. At the entrance, a rather narrow hallway was assumed – 4.8 sq m, where it was impossible to place full-fledged cabinets. The owner is a fan of cycling, he also hoped that there would be a place where it would be possible to put a bicycle.” Shelving, according to the designer’s drawings, the company “Stylish kitchens”. Because we created the history of this apartment from scratch: the brick—lined wall is decorative, it only creates a feeling of old masonry; the cunning mechanisms of lifting the countertops of dining and coffee tables evoke associations with factory machines that “lived” earlier in production workshops.” Pieces of furniture and decor from LOFT Designe allowed to bring the right mood to the interior. At the same time, the customer was afraid that the interior might turn out to be too industrial, cold. His dream was a cozy, comfortable “nest”. Therefore, the color scheme of the interior is light. All rooms, including the kitchen, receive natural light. There are no aggressive, too brutal details here — everything is extremely easy and concise. In the hall there was a place for a spacious wardrobe for outerwear. In the bathroom (3 sq. m.), a shower tray and sliding glass doors were installed instead of a bathtub. The living room now combines a living room (a nice bonus – access to the balcony!), a bedroom behind a curtain and a kitchen separated from the living part by a wooden partition with windows. Many pieces of furniture, including the original shelving, are made to order, according to the drawings of decorators. “In a small elongated kitchen, we have placed everything we need: a refrigerator, an oven, a hob, an extractor hood and a dishwasher,” says the designers. – Please note: the height of the chairs is adjustable, they can easily be turned into bar ones. The host often invites guests, we also had to provide for this format of the party.” Built-in wardrobe, the company “Stylish kitchens”. The bed, Askona. During the renovation, difficulties arose with the manufacture and installation of a partition between the kitchen and living room. “The carpentry workshop let us down very much with the deadlines due to the workload in production,” says the designer. – We had to wait for the partition for about three months. All this time, the customer lived in an apartment with a fully open studio layout. This forced measure once again convinced us all that the partition is really necessary here. With it, the interior immediately became more solid and complete. Everything fell into place.” Table, stools, lamp, LOFT Designe.
