Photo Sergey Krasyuk The customers, a young couple with young children, turned to the designers with a clear request: to design a modern, visually clean, functional interior that would meet all the needs of the family. They wanted a spacious common area with a large dining table, as well as a “Smart Home” system that would automate climate control, lighting, curtains according to a set schedule — the family day mode. A projector for watching movies and good acoustics were also a prerequisite. So a white “canvas” appeared on the wall opposite the sofa — a projector screen that merges with the wall when turned off and resembles a painting by an avant-garde artist. “115 square meters for an apartment with two children’s rooms, a master block and a spacious common area is not enough. Especially if your customers love the “purity” of space and minimalism, — say the designers. — In fact, initially the owners also wanted to buy a neighboring apartment and combine the premises, but they did not have time. So our task was to squeeze the maximum out of the available space without sacrificing aesthetics and comfort. And, looking ahead, let’s say that we coped with it quite successfully.” Cabinet, Rimadesio. Bra, Catellani&Smith. These are the lines of walls, ceiling, windows, furniture, lamps… All elements of the interior, even internal technical solutions, are aimed at embodying a common concept: concise and monumental. For example, the ceiling levels that appeared for the duct air conditioning system have beautiful proportions and outliers. They are a full-fledged part of the overall composition.” Armchair, &tradition. Photo Sergey Krasyuk. Style: Daria Ishkaraeva, Ekaterina Yakovleva In the living room, the main dominants are architectural monumental volumes. The main decoration of this zone is a niche in which there is a pedestal with a sculpture by the artist Lev Efimov. It is formed by the architecture of the room itself: to the right of it is a dimensional supporting column, and to the left are the communications of the house. “We like not to mask such difficult places in space, but on the contrary, we make them a “chip” of the project, a wow factor,” the designers add. All objects — table, chairs, lamps — are selected in such a way as to create a feeling of airiness and spaciousness in the interior, and not to burden it. Chairs, Molteni. The kitchen turned out to be functional, thoughtful and convenient to use: during cooking, everything you need is always at hand. And thanks to proper zoning, it is not visible from the living room. Compared to the common areas, more wood of a pleasant dark shade is used here and light green accents appear, as well as a picturesque marble pattern on the bedside tables. A neat console with a mirror serves as a dressing table for the hostess of the house, and a compact table at the entrance to the master block is the workplace of the owner. Bed, Novamobili. The area of each bathroom is about 4 m2, but they look spacious due to the correct configuration, the absence of inconvenient places and corners. There is everything here: paired sinks, large countertops, and storage areas. At the same time, in pursuit of maximum functionality, the authors of the projects do not forget about aesthetics — the space looks harmonious, integral, restrained and stylish. Stone, Ariostea. And once in the already “habitable” interior, we appreciated how comfortable it is here! — Artyom and Lia remember. — Each room is extremely clear and functionally saturated, everything has its own place, and, most importantly, it is very convenient for the family to live here! An intuitive understanding of the space is important: the common area is open in front of you, the necessary additional rooms are nearby, at hand, and the private block is further along the course, at the end of the apartment.” Apartment in Moscow.
