Exhibition or boutique? The Tiffany & Co. pop-up store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris is everything at once: a sequence of halls featuring modern and archival exhibits combining the brand’s novelties and items from its 185—year–old collection. “Tiffany & Co. has a rich history in the production and design of jewelry. It was important for us to show this story,” explains OMA partner Ellen van Loon, who led the project together with architect Giulio Margaery. “Visiting the store is not only an opportunity to get acquainted with the new Tiffany collection, but also a journey through time.”

The boutique has three rooms with different atmospheres. First you get to the sapphire rotunda, where the main exhibits of the Tiffany jewelry archive are shown, presented physically and on digital screens. Further on there is an octagonal room to showcase the brand’s latest collection. This is a space with golden walls, pink armchairs and blue accents. Finally, in a room at the back of the hall there is a catalog of French crown jewels from Tiffany in 1887.
