Although the name of the project refers to one of the most notable allegorical images of Russian decorative art — the red horse of the Mezen (Palashchelskaya) wood painting – the theme of the public “VKontakte” is much broader: the authors clearly show how diverse the work of our contemporaries and artists of the past years is.

In fact, the “Red Horse” is more than a group on a social network. In 2018, graduates of the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov founded a whole project, which today consists of an online store of art materials and a blog dedicated to painting.
