Usually we think through everything down to the smallest detail at the design stage and then systematically implement the ideas. In our house, we changed ideas on the go. After painting, I wanted to add a cinema, I had to damage the finished finish a little and repaint it again. And just before the shooting, we decided to change the color of the nursery to a much brighter one, it was better suited to the panel above the bed.” A very unusual decorative element is a row of cylinders under the balcony of the second light. These are cardboard transportation elements from IKEA, which designers have been collecting for ten years. Photo SERGEY ANANYEV STYLE: NATALIA ONUFREYCHUK “The center of the whole house is a two—light living room-kitchen-dining room with access to a large terrace. In the evening, everyone gathers around the fireplace and the huge home theater screen. Following people, depending on the situation, sofa modules also move around the room, since they are light enough. In addition to the living room, on the ground floor there is a parents’ bedroom, a bathroom, a sauna, a boiler room-utility room and an entrance hall with a porch.” The steel sculptures “Drops” were made according to the sketches of architects in the workshop of Lev Efimov. They did not come up with it for a very long time, but it was fruitful. Of the many options, we chose a composition of two sheets of steel with an oval hole in the center. And from the carved elements, another sculpture was made, standing at the far end of the site. The result is a dialogue of forms.” Garden sculptures made of rusty metal were made according to sketches by Ilya and Svetlana Khomyakov in the workshop of Lev Efimov.
