The owner of this apartment is a young man who recently moved from London to Tel Aviv. He needed a large, spacious, modern house in which, if necessary, his mother and numerous relatives could stay. As a result, he settled on a two-level apartment with an area of 140 sq. m. meters, which I invited designers Michal Shilgi and Rebecca Citrin to design.

Since the owner lives in two countries – the UK and Israel – the apartment’s furnishings should reflect this international character, the designers decided. Therefore, the interiors are made in an eclectic style, which combines industrial loft aesthetics, Mediterranean and ethnic motifs. This allows you to create a bright, modern space in which the younger generation and older family members will be equally comfortable.

On the lower level there is a private area with a small living room, which houses a workplace. On the second level there is a large combined kitchen, dining and living area with access to a large terrace. If the glass doors are completely pushed apart, the boundary between the house and the street is erased. The different areas of the house are interconnected by the blue color, which is used both in the decoration of the bar counter in the kitchen, and in the lining of the stairs, and in the dining set, and in textiles and outdoor tables on the terrace.

Another unifying feature of the interior is bright ornaments on tiles, furniture upholstery and decorative textiles. They bring an element of ethnicity and the necessary dynamics to the interior, thanks to which a large space does not look too monotonous. In general, the designers have an original, eclectic interior, in which there was a place for unusual details like a special tap for beer in the kitchen.
