1. FF RESTAURANT & BAR

The recently opened FF Restaurant & Bar is a new fashionable point on the map of Moscow. The co-owner of the institution is the famous DJ and general producer of Radio RU Fedor Fomin (hence FF in the name). On weekdays, they offer to taste dishes of Odessa cuisine, and on weekends the institution turns into a concert venue. Most of the furniture is made up of iconic design objects by Eileen Gray, Joe Columbo, Philippe Stark. It is not surprising, because the decorator and stylist of ELLE DECORATION magazine Marina Bessonova was engaged in interior design.

2. PPL RESTAURANT AND BAR

The main idea of the institution is already voiced in its name: PPL is an abbreviation from the English For People by People (“people for people”). And indeed, the owners tried to create a fashionable European place in Moscow, where it would be comfortable for everyone. There is always good music playing here, there are a lot of interesting cocktails in the bar. Yuna Megre worked on the interior concept, on whose account the design of the Oki Doki chain establishments, the River club and the Koffeecake coffee shop.

3. DURAN BAR

“Duran Bar” is located in the former weaving factory “Trekhgornaya Manufactory”, which is now actively inhabited by clubbers and restaurateurs. The interior was designed by Maria Zhukova, who filled the brutal industrial space with soft, comfortable furniture of bright colors. The main place is reserved for the bar, upholstered in wrought iron, opposite which there is a fashionable open kitchen in our time. There is even a real fireplace, which is heated with real wood in winter. The Ministry of Justice has branded Duran Duran cocktails, the recipe of which is not disclosed. By the way, the long-awaited summer veranda with a magnificent view of the Moskva River opens here the other day.

4. SHAGGY DOG

Shaggy Dog is a new restaurant and bar from the creators of the famous Fat Cat place. At the entrance to the “shaggy dog” visitors are greeted by two stone dogs. Inside, you can find dog tracks embedded in the wooden floor and numerous images of four-legged friends. Cuisine: modern American, French, Italian, Spanish, Italian. The main specialty is goat risotto, which is served in a hollowed-out “head” of parmesan. The place is intimate and calm, where you can have a delicious and fairly budget dinner with friends, without fear that loud music will interfere with the conversation.

5. BREAD AND WINE

The name “Bread and Wine” perfectly reflects the essence of this institution, which combines the functions of a bar and a wine shop. Here you can pick up a good wine and take it with you, or at the same price drink a bottle on the spot. If desired, you can order freshly baked bread with tapas and a variety of snacks with a glass of wine.

6. SAXON + PAROLE

The Saxon + Parole bar is an organic part of the restaurant of the same name and is not inferior to it either in terms of assortment or in terms of service. In 2013, it was recognized as the “Best Restaurant Bar in the World” by the prestigious Tales of the Coctail competition, which is held in New Orleans. Saxon + Parole mixologists rely on natural ingredients and say a decisive “no” to chemical additives and syrups. Famous bartenders Naren Yang, Masashiro Urushido and Linden Pride are responsible for the cocktail menu here, who supplemented the classic recipes of the best American cocktails with a large number of natural ingredients made by hand. The wine list includes classic regions of Euroopa, as well as interesting wines from America – both North and South (including iconic producers from Napa and Sonoma).

7. HOUSE 12

Dom 12 is a new cafe of Mitya Borisov and Alexey Zimin. “I came up with it as a place for a comfortable pastime,” Borisov says about his institution. —My friends do it with me – from the kitchen of Lesha Zimin to various programs in which, in my opinion, the most meaningful people of this city participate.” Here you can listen to lectures by Grigory Revzin, attend a concert by Leni Fedorov or attend free movie screenings. And in May, the courtyard finally opened here: quiet, cozy, with shawarma.

8. WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE

Another fashionable loft on Trekhgorka is called unusually: “We are not going anywhere.” And you get there, too, not in the most usual way. Behind an inconspicuous glass door without a sign sits a travel agent girl who will open a secret door hidden behind a closet if you answer the question correctly: “Where are you going?” The password is the name of the institution. Inside, behind a long bar counter, original cocktails based on vegetables and fruits are in the way, for which the owner of the institution, Alexander Kan, is responsible (chef-bartender and co-owner of Timeout Rooftop Bar and Barbara Bar).

9. #LOL

Two-storey #Lol Moscow is a new high-profile project of Denis Simachev. Loud in every way: it’s always noisy and fun here and good music sounds. The best DJ forces in Moscow are responsible for it. The plans include bringing Western stars and big concerts. The menu is divided into “European” and “Asian”: Oriental dishes are prepared by a chef from Beijing who uses real Chinese seasonings and ingredients. There is a lot of red in the interior, the walls are dotted with Chinese characters, and there are aquariums with live fish in the halls.

10. BLUM CAFE

Blum Cafe is an excellent institution with a good interior and a quite democratic price tag from the creator of the bar “Products” Arkady Zeltser. The interior has vintage furniture from Dutch flea markets, European cuisine and real Kuban borscht are on the menu. The restaurant occupies two rooms, one of which has a fireplace and a bar. On weekends, the place turns into a club: starting in April, the team of the legendary St. Petersburg bar Mishka arranges its parties here.
